These are the organizations that our politicians are supporting with their failure to secure our borders and their back-door amnesty plans. Our politicians don't care about you and me, American citizens, or we wouldn't have 20 million illegal aliens inside our country.

It's not about "jobs Americans won't do."

Certainly this is a dream that many of the "invaders" share. Of course there are others just trying to do the best they can for their families.

Do I remember this right? It seems to me that James Michener predicted this would happen in his mid 80's novel, "Texas?" Has anyone else read this? It was a pretty good book, but then everything I ever read of his was good.

In his "Alaska" novel he also predicted that Russia would at some point challenge the 1869 sale of Alaska to the United States in court as illegal and try to take Alaska back. That of course has not happened yet.

I seem to recall in Texas that he predicted massive immigration both legal and illegal into Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and southern California until there were enough voters in these areas to succeed from the United States and join Mexico. A big part of this movement was to change the culture and language of these areas until they were more like Mexico than the United States. Twenty years ago that seemed like a paranoid fantasy to me, but not anymore.

The fix is in! noticed they framed the debate about how we will not work certain jobs...well guess what it is about all jobs...accounting to
fruit picking.

Wages!
Wages!
Wages!

The destruction of the middle class is taking place right before your eyes and the debate should be focused on saving a middle class in this country.

The largest asparagras processor in Washington State shut down last year because they couldn't even get enough illegal workers to stay open. Half the veggies in the supermarkets are foreign imports. Eliminate illegal farm workers and food costs will at least double.

Excellent statement billiwald and this is what exposes the lie that has been shoved down our throats. Farmers are having a hard time finding immigrants to do the jobs that Americans will not do.

Has anyone looked at the profit margins for processed foods?

I feel quite secure in stating that the wages paid to pick the produce is only a tiny portion of the sale price at your local store...

All food wouldn't double in price...

But, what is your food bill?

Is paying more for our food worth it to have Americans fully employed and our National Sovreignty and security assured?

I think So.

Lock the Borders Down...

Retake America...

That's clearly the agenda and our own elected government representatives are close to going along with it whether knowingly or not especially if we don't let them know what we want.

Supply and demand can work this out. If the price goes up then so be it because the wages will be paid to legal workers who'll also spend those wages and pay their full share of taxes.

No, ASLANSPAL, the issue is whether or not we want our borders to be borders. We want real boundaries that people who we welcome here are permitted to cross when we say they can - not just mere lines on a map that anyone can cross for whatever reason whenever they want and then, after a few years and few children, claim complete legitimacy in having done so. Meanwhile up to 5 million people wait for permission to enter this country legally following all the rules and incurring all the expenses. Let them in and send the ones who came here without permission packing!

I would rather have 11 million illegal Mexicans than to have another 18 terrorists come in from Canada.

Thank President Clinton for sending the jobs to China and India. If he had not done so, we would not have illegal immigration.

So only illegals from the south of us should only be entitled to American outsourcing? That is what really gets me, Mexico doesn't want any one illegally crossing their borders or working their jobs nor do they want share outsourcing provided by U.S. companies. Why not write the country of Mexico a big fat welfare check every month.
This ain't about taking jobs that Americans will not work but all about greed and taking over U.S. territories.

I'd rather have only legal immigrants and no terrorists. We can accomplish both if we get and stay committed to it.

Regarding illegal Mexican immigrants: In addition to the things we need to do - secure our borders and evict them - Mexico needs to get busy helping themselves by cleaning up their big corruption problem, their serious illicit drug business, and generating a stronger internal economy such that fewer people would have reason to want to leave. The Mexican government finds it easier to help their citizens help themselves to the opportunities north of the border. That transfers the burden to our nation and provides a flow of cash back home which they can then siphon.

There can be no doubt that a foreign government is working in tandem with the government of the United States and a powerful, politically-connected public relations firm to manufacture consent and to hold back a growing grassroots movement to defend America's sovereignty.

The LA Times reported in December of last year, that Vicente Fox hired Allyn & Co. when the rumblings of immigration reform began to be heard in congress:

Last week, the U.S. House approved a bill to add 700 miles of border fencing and make illegal immigration a felony. Fox denounced the measure as shameful. His foreign minister called it "stupid" and "underhanded."

The immigration bill, expected to reach the Senate in February, has no provision for allowing temporary Mexican workers -- a further "slap," in Fox's view. He and President Bush agree on the need for a ''guest worker'' program.

The firm was hired to create a mechanism to sway public opinion in favor of Mexico and Mexican immigrants into the U.S. at the same moment public concern over border security was begining to reach a fever pitch. The timing is impeccable.

The legislation that Fox found so "shameful" is the very same that is being protested so vehemently by hundreds of thousands around the country. The mainstream media's massive protest coverage kept coming back to a few central themes: the protesters are against "criminalizing" the illegal crossing of U.S. borders and they are seeking a blanket amnesty for undocumented immigrants currently residing in the country. Fox turned to Allyn & Co. to push this very agenda.

And the mainstream media is playing a crucial role in the strategy. News outlets all across the nation ignored the calls to action being trafficked in mass by their Spanish language counterparts. When the protests began, newspapers and TV news stations played down the undercurrents of Mexican nationalism and racism, concealing the Mexican flags and "La Raza" signs behind the "stars and stripes." And while anti-war protests and Minutemen rallies are depicted as insignificant in size and political efficacy, the mainstream media has spun these immigration protests positively to build their movement by giving it a clear target and many successes. The mainstream media teamed with the Spanish language media has succeeded in forging a gargantuan rent-a-mob.

<snip>

Paul Joseph Watson

How sweet a propaganda campaign being run inside the United States by a foreign government to influence our domestic policy. Aided by Bush's former PR man. And our President congress and media say nothing about it.

Bottom line is the choice between jobs going off shore or more low paying jobs in the US unless the American public can be convinced that it is unpatriotic to buy foreign goods and fat chance of that. As Kruchev (sp?) said, Americans will bid on the rope that (foreigners) will use to hang Americans.

The international economy is a done deal, just like climate change. <G> My kids and grandkids have never seen a day of hard times which is freak conditions. We old timers remember our parents and grandparents talking about the depression and hard times but that is ancient history to our kids. For 6,000 years of recorded the "normal" situation was 3/4 of the world's population living in poverty and the world is regressing to the norm.

Removing illegal immigrants will not result in lower paying jobs for Americans. Supply and demand will drive the wages. Fewer available workers or workers not willing to work for as little while result in employers having to pay more. Of course, that will drive the cost of services up for consumers who may or may not be willing to absorb it. On the other hand, they shouldn't have to be paying more taxes, higher insurance, etc. resulting from having so many illegal immigrants amongst them.

Why can't prisoners pick vegatables? Also, if
more farms were local, like the one here, people
can pick their own produce cheaper with better
quality.

" Farmers are having a hard time finding immigrants to do the jobs that Americans will not do."

That's because they have jobs that Americans did.

Well,

Ya'll have changed my opinion - I must now vote for the United States of the South West to secede and become the 2d largest economy (first largest Army, second largest Navy, first largest nuclear power, & I really do not know about our Air Force assets - but, I think we would be number one at that as well).

You are correct - your politics will destroy our economy. Your choices will destroy the economy of the other countries on this continent so that the RICH can get richer by hiring Asian governments and their workers. You are correct - we should correct the wrong commited during the Mexican American War. We must continue the Revolution! The GRITA of the 5th of May must be answered - we must eliminate the vestiges of the Napoleonic Facism that is rampant in the liberal American politics.

Get for real folks - do you really intend to enflame with your political diatribe? Do you intend to ignore the words that God wrote through that servant:

Oops - ya'll might not be able to read God's language.

1 John 4:7-11 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Yes, illegal immigration is a problem. But, when you bring up a problem YOU MUST DEVELOP A SOLUTION THAT WILL WORK (first rule of leadership that I learned). We cannot fix the problem as long as all we do is blame Mexico.

The real problem is the number of children we aborted - that is why our economy needs the workers. Our SIN is the root of the problem. I cannot fix the root of our REAL SIN problem, but the answer to the illegal immigration problem is to repeal the laws that Clinton put in place so the jobs (from the USA and Mexico) WOULD go to Asia. And my solution would be to take the jobs back to Mexico that had moved there during the 80's. Americans (Mexicans to you) would go home to the UNITED STATES OF MEXICO. I would also move the high tech jobs back to the USA.

Do you realize that Mexico so believed in our government and our way of live that they named their country and borrowed from our constitution? It has taken the Mexicans 200 years to move away from the imperialism that truly messed them up. (The unwillingness to complete the move toward the US model was the reason that my ancestors stood up and faught here in Texas.) Texas was the ONLY BREAK AWAY Republic that gained her independence from Mexico (I think there were as amany as 7 break aways).

PS if having Mexicans working here as the result of our SINS bothers you, what are you going to do when we get judged for our sin of ABORTION? If seeing a Mexican on the street corner bothers you - then start doing something about it. Eliminate abortion before we get judged for this evil in our land.

If prisioners can pick veggis then they can also take other union jobs. With a million people in prison Bush could break the unions and the working class will revery to a 1900 life style of poverty, begging, and scrounging.

Anyone think that Americans will pay more to "buy American" must be smoking dope. As H. L. Menkin (?) wrote, "No one ever lose money by underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

Only rich people can afford to "buy American" and in most cases it is impossible, anyway.
