What a nice gift for your wife. Does it have any study notes?

Amy, as I recall there is an introduction to each book as well as some additional study helps in the back.

I don't mind either way. I have both red letter and straight black letter Bibles.

I looked at a rainbow Bible a while back. Some parts of it were ok, but others were just to busy with all the colors all over the page. I found it to be distracting.

Does anyone think they should come out with a version that has the text in a dark blue? It's a bit easier on the eyes.

At one time, in England, it was an insult to write a letter in red ink. Red is also the symbollic colour of debt. I think I will stick with black on white pages.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Interesting. I always wondered where the tradition of red-lettering came from. I can sleep better now :)

    I understood it.

Harold was noting my "abomination" sarcasm in an early post.

It was sarcasm, I post most of my quotes from Scripture here on the BB in dark red.

My HCSB doesn't have red letters in the OT. I own the giant print edition. Which edition do you own?

Ah. It's not available at ChristianBook and one can buy it only in bonded-leather at Amazon.

I'm sure one can find it in hardback on eBay.

    In Christ,
    Robb
