Do you agree with the statement, "Religion should open your mind, not close your heart"?

It sounds like fluff. Wimpy doctrine made by men of low spiritual testosterone. A Facebook meme with no intestinal fortitude.

Any Christian knows, God creates a new heart. So no. Your pabulum is not biblical.

I think you're full of cow dung. You always put up these quotes from churches that deny the resurrection, deny the judgement, deny the truth of the bible, then you always claim "I didn't know". It's baloney. You know. Or you are the most ignorant person on earth.

How come none of your links ever point to Christ's death and resurrection ? Is it because you "love" people too much to tell them the truth ?

    Not me.

Do you agree with the statement or not?

See ? You're making the gospel message the hateful one, and the inclusivist lie the loving one. Calling good evil, and calling evil, good.

I answered your stupid question. I said it is not biblical. Why would I believe it ?

And I don't care if you answer mine or not. We see you for who you really are.

    :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Now you want to talk about my walk with God.

Crabtownboy, if you can point to anywhere where I denied any point, or even linked to a source that denied any point of the fundamentals of faith then do so. If you cannot, then you have the answers to your off-topic questions.

I have pointed out where your source should not be considered a Christian one. You have been calling me a bad guy since.

The U.C.C. sends people to hell, with a wink and a pat on the back. Why wouldn't you shun them, instead of trying to weasel out of this ?

I'd be most interested to hear about your walk with Christ. I expect many on the BB would be interested.

Indeed, I would like to hear others talk about how their walk with Christ has impacted their life.

It is always interesting to hear how Christ has influence a life. Don't you think so?

Would you like me to start another thread so we can be on topic with that topic?

You are too dishonest for me to engage in a serious discussion about my faith. You have called me a bigot for my faith, so I would be an idiot to engage you. I don't care what you want to hear about me.

Second, you have been exposed as an inclusivist, and please don't insult us by telling us you don't know what one is. I am satisfied to leave the conversation here, with you standing by your words.

Then let religion do it. I am not religion.

I believe pointing out cow dung when you see it IS grace. You don't want others stepping in it, do you ? Calling out false doctrine seldom sounds "nice".

But I'm sure the author of the O/P will side with you, that I am the meanie.

Not interested in talking about it further.

What do you say about the O/P ?

I guess I should say a Christian should show more grace than that.

I don't find a problem with the statement per se...I just don't agree with the UCC source. The source doesn't make the statement any less valid though. And by saying I disagree with the source, I disagree with some of what they teach. It would be ludicrous for me to say that they as a church are hell-bound.

It's all about pointing sinners to the cross of Jesus...even if I disagree with the sign saying "diz wae tu da cross". :jesus:

Disagree with some of what they teach ?

Do you think it's a "loving" church ?

Do you think it's a Christian church ?

    Seriously.

And since you don't know the history, being new and all, I've been called a bigot and a racist, and a homophobe, and told I hate women, by C.T.Boy more times than Christ told me to forgive him. (And, he's never asked) So please, don't get yourself involved in that.

I've heard the saying that "A broken clock is right twice a day." And that's true, but the problem is that the broken clock, like this statement, is defective and misleading.

It's defective because Biblical religion, ie Biblical Christianity, opens our heart to love all people enough to tell them that they are headed to hell without Christ, which is the opposite of having an open mind.

It is misleading because we begin to think that what else they have said may be good, when UCC's open minded and "loving" beliefs are the opposite of Biblical Christianity.

I would say inclusivism is actively against us. If you deny the judgement then there is no need for salvation. Can't see Christ endorsing that view. I deny Mark 9:38-40 covers these folks. I'm not asking anyone to follow me.

RT, I asked some pretty direct questions. They should be easy to answer.
