I expect that we will be hearing about more such threats from various arms of the federal government in the months to come. Support for Bush's Folly in Iraq is rapidly dwindling. Therefore, some fearmongering will be in order to attempt to gin up support for continued warmongering in Iraq.

    To bad
    Two bad
    Too bad
To spell or not to spell, that is the question.

Your answer is disconnected. What does the "fear mongering" in relation to Iraq have to do with 9/11? Oh I know, Saddam and Osama were on the phone on 9/10.

I don't think this is a conspiracy to boost up Bush's popularity, Ken.
Americans have always been targets by radicals, next to Israelis.

    First, for their dollars.
Now, for their dollars and because of their alliance with Israelis.
It's just that Israelis were more often hit, and there really wasn't enough political reasons to hit ordinary Americans, except for the money, than these times.
But then that may only be the perception of someone who was once anti US imperialism.

Obviously, because no one would ever think of attacking American interests anywhere.

    Pastor Larry,

Thank you for your post!!!! I am glad you said that. Now....lets let 42 million (my exaggeration for point) more of 'em into our country, to settle their differences by dealing with the American interest on your city block.

Agree! Let's form a North American Union and open up the borders to "free up the movement of people and goods" from the tip of South America to the Arctic circle. Maybe we can even build a super highway through the country to make it all that much easier.

You sure hit the mark Ken. Of course fearmongering is only for those on the outside of the circle... the people on the inside of the circle will blindly follow Bush and company at any cost.

If the government wanted to really protect us they would do more to shore up our borders. Our biggest asset is our homeland and it's people and yet this continues to go unsolved.

Since the 9/11 attacks, the Bush administration has made the "war on terror" the centerpiece of its domestic and foreign policy. Bush cries terror where there is none - as in Iraq and in the communications of ordinary Americans. Meanwhile, he protects the real terrorists in our midst.

Luis Posada Carriles is a Cuban-born terrorist who has accurately been called the Osama bin Laden of the Western hemisphere. He boasted of helping to detonate deadly bombs in Havana hotels 10 years ago. Declassified FBI and CIA documents at the National Security Archive reveal that Posada was the mastermind of a 1976 bombing of a civilian Cuban airplane that killed 73 people. He escaped from a Venezuelan prison where he was being tried for his role in the first in-air bombing of a commercial airliner. Posada then played a central role in the illegal Iran-Contra scandal.

    <snip>

The government was caught between a rock and a hard place. There had been intense pressure to try Posada for his terrorist crimes, as required by Security Council resolution 1373 and three international treaties. Resolution 1373, passed in the wake of the September 11, 2001 attacks, mandates that all countries deny safe haven to those who commit terrorist acts, and ensure that they are brought to justice. These provisions of resolution 1373 are mandatory, as they were adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter. The treaties require the United States to extradite Posada to Venezuela for trial or try him in U.S. courts for offenses committed abroad. The Department of Justice elected instead to charge him with perjury for lying about how he entered the United States in 2005.

LUIS POSADA KNOWN TERRORIST RELEASED BY UNITED STATES YouTube.com

    Update - May 18, 2005 - Documents featured on May 17, 2005 edition of ABC's Nightline.

Washington D.C. May 18, 2005 - The National Security Archive today posted additional documents that show that the CIA had concrete advance intelligence, as early as June 1976, on plans by Cuban exile terrorist groups to bomb a Cubana airliner. The Archive also posted another document that shows that the FBI's attache in Caracas had multiple contacts with one of the Venezuelans who placed the bomb on the plane, and provided him with a visa to the U.S. five days before the bombing, despite suspicions that he was engaged in terrorist activities at the direction of Luis Posada Carriles.

Both documents were featured last night on ABC Nightline's program on Luis Posada Carriles, who was detained in Miami yesterday by Homeland Security.

That would be possible only if the Bush administration had as much interest in securing our borders as it does Iraq's borders.

How anyone in this day and age can believe there isn’t a serious threat from Islamic Fundamentalists is beyond understanding.

This is far from over and it’s just a matter of time before another attack happens, whether here or abroad. Your ideology will only get so far in life.

The funny thing about these freaks of nature (Islamic Fascists) is that they don’t care whether you believe they exist or it’s some conspiracy to control the American people, they still want you dead… And when another attack happens the same government you despise will be the same government who you will cry out to for help.

There are many people in numerous agencies working around the clock to see that we can sit safely by our computers and criticize the very ones who give us the freedom to do so. And for those people I am extremely thankful!

It happened in the past. In the early '70 the Bader Minify (sp?) was on the loose. I spent many a night on Guard duty. On day a German car sped past the gate. I was immediately on the radio and the MP were on his tail. They were not a terrorist threat, just a bunch of young men having "fun".
You give a challenge to the American solider and he will accomplish the mission.

The enemy without is never as dangerous as the enemy within.

What ever the Islamic terrorists are, they are not "fascists". This term is nothing but hyperbole used to satiate a drunken mass hoped up on talk radio.

How many are working to stop the current invasion of 10-30 million people within our borders, factions of which have overtly made known their intent to Reconquer the American Southwest? Not even El Qaeda has been this bold.
