Report: White House altered drilling safety report

By DINA CAPPIELLO, Associated Press Dina Cappiello, Associated Press – 2 hrs 35 mins ago

WASHINGTON – The Interior Department's inspector general says the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the administration's six-month ban on new drilling.

The inspector general says the editing changes resulted "in the implication that the moratorium recommendation had been peer reviewed." But it hadn't been. The scientists were only asked to review new safety measures for offshore drilling.

Is there anything at all this administration won't lie about to get their way?

It's the worst I've ever seen. Bar none.

We may be living witnesses to the actions of the most dishonest administration in history.

IMO Obamo and his ilk believe that their opinions are the "truth", so it is morally OK for them to play loose with honesty and facts, because since they have "truth" and "right" on their side, everyone will be better off because of their actions. The old, the ends justify the means thinking.

    Pretty scary
