Republican Admits Voter ID Laws are About Biasing Elections

    What about independents? Can they be poll workers?

    New York State has no "independent" voters - If you are not enrolled in a Party - you are classified as "non-enrolled".

    With that in mind - each polling location must have one worker from each of the two top political parties. This is based on the votes received in the Governors election.

    (Back in 1990 - the Conservative Party came within 1% of second place in the Governors race -about 30,000 out of 3 million votes cast)

    But as far as voter ID's - Not sure about other States or Commonwealths - NY provides a picture Medicare ID card - at NO COST! (well you and I pay for it)
