Gallup's generic polling shows the number of voters saying that they would vote for Republicans rising three points from last week, while the number saying they will vote for Democrats dropped four points. The 49%-43% lead for the Republicans is the largest that the pollster has ever recorded for the party. Moreover, Democratic enthusiasm for voting this fall fell a point, while enthusiasm among Republicans stayed about fifteen points higher.

Here's hoping that if they do overtake the majority that they will act, legislate, and lead differently from their Democratic counterparts in the House and Senate.

This hasn't happened since Lincoln's election.

There is a time for every action -- I am praying that the next elections result in people who are honest, decent Christians who will make honorable decisions and laws. NOT like the decisions and laws that have been made for the last several years by all sides of the political spectrum!

That is so great. Lets elect the liberal Republicans again that were gotten rid of in 2006 and 2008 and replaced with liberal Democrats. It is the same old, tired choice of A and B, liberal vs liberal. No, that is the last thing we need. We need to elect members of Congress who are conservative, follow the Constitution, and want to serve the American people, regardless of party, not the anti-Constitutional thieves of the Democratic and Republican establishment.

This board is rampant with Republican apologists, and does not advance the well being of this nation one iota.
