I searched my thoughts to bring you folks something that would challenge you in the New Year, and I came up empty, until......

I received the following from my niece, who was ONCE a Die-Hard-Democrat! She hated Bush, and beat the drums to get Obama elected....time changes everything, if we just wait it out.

If the following is how you feel, and you want to pass this on to your family and friends, please feel free to do so! This must be our "creed" for the coming year(s).

IT IS TIME TO TAKE AMERICA BACK...before it's TOO LATE!

Take a look at this and remember to vote in November 2010.

The U.S. House & Senate voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises. If that's NOT enough, look at what they've done to their constituents:

    1. They voted to not give those on S.S. a Cost-of-Living raise in 2010 and 2011....

    2. But, they did not stop there...NO! They approved Medicaid and Medicare premiums for an annual increase of up to $285.60 a month over the next 2-years.....add this to the loss of a minimum 3%COLA [each year], and retirees lose $660.00 per year. This equates to an overall loss of $1,600 per individual, or, $3,200 for a husband and wife.....

    3. But, over the next 2-years, Congress and Senate get approximately $10,000 in raises...

    4. How will people depending on S.S. be able to pay for the ever-increasing cost in drugs - doctor fees -local taxes - food - gasoline, etc.?

The answer is: They can't financially COPE...NO WAY.

But, elected politicians and their staff will have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past, and THEY just don't care.

    6. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie, et al, care about you? SEND THEM A MESSAGE-- Tell them they are FIRED. IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE SITTING CONGRESS: Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE can be replaced, if you really care about their non-care toward the American people.

MAKE SURE YOU'RE STILL MAD IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND REMIND THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO MESS UP like their predessors....

It's OK to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse. Maybe it's time for the...........Amendment 28, which reads:

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
    United States."

Let's get this passed around - these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It's time for retribution. Let's take back America.

If you don't forward this to all your friends you're just part of the problem: national apathy.

:wavey:No, go and do the right thing. It's your country too; take control and take it back. Time is running out!!!:wavey:

Which means voting for absolutely no Republicans or Democrats for any public office on any level except for a very, very limited number of true limited government candidates such as Ron Paul for the U.S. House and Rand Paul for the U.S. Senate.

Do you do this just because they are Democrats? Do you vote for any specific reasons? Does it matter if a Democrat is pro-life or pro-choice? Paul I'm afraid this post tells a lot about you.

No, I'm not just because they are Democrats; it's because I'm one and I agree with them. In 2008 I voted Democrat for President, Congress, School Board, Clerk of Courts, City Council at-large and Public Defender. I voted Republican for City Council, State Attorney, and 2 of the 3 Soil and Water Management Board seats. I voted Libertarian for the one remaining Soil and Water Board seat. For City Council, State Attorney, and all of the Soil & Water Board seats there were no Democrats running so I had to choose between multiple Republicans (my county uses a unitary primary for county offices), except for the one Soil and Water Board seat where I had to choose between a Republican and a Libertarian, so I went Libertarian because I'd rather vote for a yellow dog than a Republican, unless only Republicans are running. Of course, I examine each candidate's positions individually.

On the issue of abortion, I am strongly pro-life and believe elective abortion should be outlawed at the state level. However, that's never going to happen, so I focus on how we can reduce the number of abortions through social programs, etc. Individually, I have donated to pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, as does my church. As Christians, we must always teach and follow God's commandments prohibiting extramarital sex. If people would practice sexual morality, that would cause a huge drop in unwanted pregnancy. With all of that said, this is one issue where, in my view, the Republicans are better. For example, Bush/Cheney and the Republican controlled Congress passed the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act, and I give them all the credit in the world for that. However, this is not the only political issue in the world, and the damage that Bush, Cheney and the rest of the connies did to my country far outweighs the good. So, when looking at politicans on the abortion issue, I look at what they actually plan to do that will actually help the situation, not at what their ideal is on paper.

So, what did my last post tell about me?

Voting for abortionist politicians is to support abortion.

What part of "I am strongly pro-life and believe elective abortion should be outlawed" do you not understand?

Not forwarding or reposting hardly makes one apathetic anymore than those silly 'If you are not ashamed of Jesus you will pass this on' is a judge of spirituality.

I have no time for this kind of silly - 'If you don't do what I say you don't care' posts.

America is never going to change... if Christians keep voting abortion supporting politicians into office...

OH< retribution is on it's way...

And one day we will stand before God.

Voting for a person or party that supports abortion IS SUPPORTING ABORTION....

    Duh..

Until Christians take the blinders off their eyes that Satan has put on them.. America is going to get worse...

We need a revival in our churches... first!
Then it will show up in the polls....

    Then America will change....

but as long as Christians sin by voting for abortion loving politicians...

    God will NEVER bless America.

    Come Lord Jesus, Come....

I have to agree here. Obama for instance was openly pro-abortion throughout his campaign. So, a vote for him is for abortion.

I compare it to this; Suppose a neighbor came over and said he planned to rob a bank and asked if he could borrow your gun. Now, if you loaned him the gun and he robbed the bank would you be responsible? Of course, and you could rightly be prosecuted and convicted of a crime.

Voting for someone who has told you in advance that they are going to pass laws to support abortion is no different. And that is what Obama did.

Another analogy: Would a Christian Obama voter vote in favor of hiring a youth minister that speaks openly in favor of gay rights and gay marriage?

How Did You Reckon With Jesus Coming into Your Heart?

If you don't like those demand type sayings, how did you ever come to open your heart to Jesus when He told the world that "His way" was the only way?

You have a knack for the long way around a short subject brother. What I see with this response is simply a lot of words, supporting your earlier brief response.

So you equate your silly little forwards with the eternal destination of one's soul? Not all things are equal.
