I think it's cool. God's word will not return void - some kids are going to read God's word more because of this, and that's only good.

I bought two, one for each of my daughters (who already have bibles, and are already dedicated Christians). They're both OPENLY letting their friends (some Christian and some non-Christians) borrow them and read them. This is not only a great evangelism tool to non-Christians, but a great way for Christians to understand how biblical passages relate to their daily teenage lives (that we parents often find rather trivial).

From reading that link, I now know that:

    1. It is possible for a person to change another person's faith.
    2. It is not required to love a sinner.
    3. The Holy Spirit's job is not to convict the world of sin.
    4. We still have to obey the law - including not weating garments made out of more than one fabric, apparently.
    5. If a person believes that tattoos are part of the old covenant, then he must believe that it is okay to prostitute one's daughter.
    6. A person who even sips alcohol is a drunkard.
    7. Christians have no responsibility to care for the planet. "He [God] is not concerned about it (direct quote)," so we shouldn't either. So go ahead and pollute!
    8. Rock and roll and abortion exist today because of the NIV.
    9. A person does not need to make Christ Lord of his life to be saved.

Frankly, I'd rather kids read Revolve than this article. There are so many theological mistruths on the website that it is staggering.

And on the subject of praying, I discourage dating people from praying together at first. Praying is a very intimate thing that people can do, and it often leads to more trouble than it is worth. They can pray over their meal and pray separately for each other, and even pray together in groups, but to pray with each other by themselves is a dangerous proposition.

    Dial-the-Truth Ministries lies.
    They talk about:
"We stand on the sole authority of the King James Bible (AV 1611)."

In fact, they do not use nor promote using the KJV1611
but the KJV1769. However, they do NOT note they use the KJV1769
which is a second lie. This ministry is NOT a reliable
source of information about Bible Versions.
In fact, they are Bible Haters condemning every Bible
but the KJV1769 (you know, the one they nowhere admit they use).

"The latest Bible PERversion is the Revolve "fashion magazine"
NCV New Testament from Thomas Nelson. It looks, feels and reads
    like a fashion magazine."

They cannot be expected to speak well of the Revolve.

the value of sites like www.av1611.org/kjv/revolve.html is so that the shame of their nakedness of integrity may shine forth.

    Isaiah 47:3
Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

    Nahum 3:5
Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

    Revelation 3:18
I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

I'm glad so many liked the website. Obviously those that have no convictions would dislike it. BTW Johnv, what appealed to you most that made you go out and buy two?

The other people who would dislike Dial-the-Truth's Web site are those with actual convictions, who believe the truth matters and that the way one contends for the faith (if indeed they are in the faith) is not by piling lies upon lies and dishing it up in phony "Christian" piety.

It is because we have convictions that we don't like it.

I listed nine things that the article said that was contrary to the Word of God or at the least common sense:

    From the same website:

    http://www.av1611.org/hell.html

Go about halfway down, and you'll see an article that came from the tabloid "World News Weekly" about a person sending a microphone down a hole and hearing screaming from Hell. (the page says erroneously that it is from Ammenusastia.)

Even funnier is clicking on the actual link of the screams of Hell.

    Do you believe that, Homebound?

The truth is that the story is a hoax.

    HomeBound site:

    What lies?

It'd be easier for you to list the truths. The whole Dial-the-"Truth" site is a big prevarication from start to finish.

The "microphone into Hell" is the most egregious example, and reason #1 why Dial-the-"Truth" has to e read with a discerning eye. (You have to be a pretty undiscerning "Christian" to fall for that garbage!)

Their articles on Christian rock music are a textbook case of guilt by association. It's amazing that they can declare a group like DC Talk ungodly by completely avoiding any direct analysis of DC Talk. For example, at one point they criticize DC Talk for hiring a video director that worked with Nine Inch Nails, because one of NIN's videos is blasphemous; however, this particular director did not work on that particular video, but DC Talk is guilty anyway. You gotta laugh.

That's just a start. The whole site is codswallop.

    Here's a lie for you:

"Coming to the word "Easter" in God's Authorized Bible..."

God didn't authorize the KJV, the Church-State prelate of England did. If God authorized it then please cite the chapter and verse for us so the rest of us can only use what God "authorized".

I don't think that this was ever believed to be actuals screams from hell, it was just a tool that was used to get people to realize hell is real. I also don't know when they posted this and when your site posted there's. What do you think is in the center of the Earth?

The site nor the clip says that this is a tool to get people to realize that Hell is real. They say quite plainly that it is a real tape. They lie about the documentation, when the thing has been shown to be from the most falsely-tabloid-y publication you can buy from the aisle of the supermarket.

I have two daughters. Hence, I bought two. They each have their own copies of other translations/editions, including the KJV, NIV, and NKJV which I've purchased for them as well. I try to get student editions whenever possible.
