Aaron, you're the master of misrepresentation and overstatement.

If I were you, I'd clean my own house before I accused someone else.

Can you please provide an example of my "misrepresentation and overstatement"?

Because, otherwise it's second hand information and you haven't taken the time to find out for yourself.

to borrow Travelsong's style of reasoning...

Have you been on the moon? How do ou know it's there?

Have you stepped on Japanese soil? How do you know they have a Disneyland there?

Have you been into a delivery ward? How do you know that babies actually come from the mothers and not the fathers?

The truth is, how many rock concerts i have been to neither validates nor invalidates my statement. All you want to prove is that i have no experience and therefore have no place to judge, am i right?

What i cannot understand is how a child of the King, being saved out of the entaglement of sin, would go to a place that sounds like a prophetic peek into what the tribulation period will be like, be subject to people stoned on drugs, risk damage to and loss of your car,.... and still want more???

Those things are hardly limited to rock concerts. You can see them on any given day in Center City Philadelphia.

It's also not a given that they happen at rock concerts.

For instance, the last three shows we went to, The Allman Brothers, Elvis Costello and Little Feat, there was no trouble in the audience and we weren't "subject to people stoned on drugs" (whatever that means).

In the case of the Allman Brothers and Little Feat, which were held at the Boar's Head in Annapolis, parking was safe and plentiful. In the case of Elvis Costello, which was held at the Tower Theater, we took the subway, which is very safe.

    So then, what's the problem?

Thank you, I believe you just answered my question.
Sorry, but the world isn't a pretty place. Hiding under a rock solves nothing. I don't live in the best section of the USA, by your principles I would never even walk outside my door, let alone venture down to the church building since it's in a worse part of town.

It is a requirement of every true Southerner to play "Freebird" once a day.

To not do so would be like going to a Sons of Confederate Veterans meeting with a "North Forever!" T-shirt on.

Other than that, most music ain't worth rocking out to.

Yes. And i hope you see my point.

No, i;m not saying we should go hide under a rock, nor did i say you should imagine a world that is perfect. life must go on even if you live in the most rotten parts of the states.

What i'm saying is that i can't understand why a Child of the King would purposely go to that kind of mess for recreational purposes.

What if those things aren't happening, as in the three examples I gave you?
