I have not yet written any letters to Catholic Churches so if anyone wants they can write a sample and post it here and I will consider it. I think a good letter will also have good gospel tracts and the tract on 10 reasons Jesus came to die by Piper would be a Good one for a Catholic as they deny the vicarious atonement.

They will not read a book so a short letter one page with tracts will be all that they read. Obviously a letter pointing out the flaws of Rome in Justification and contrasting with the Bibles view of Justification by faith alone would be necessary. I bet that the Catholics may be easier to reach than the other groups that I have mailed

Calvin and Luthor have already fought that fight, and the RCC decided to stay Apostate in doctrines and practices, so just focus on telling individual catholics the good news!

Why not infiltrate the church and join a bible study and feed them the truth?

It is interesting that a number of RC churches do indeed have Bible studies.

    That may be inappropriate.

I have been focusing on the other false churches in the area and have yet to write up a priest but I will one day.

Having been involved in a Baptist church where many of the members had been saved out of Roman Catholicism, I can tell you that simply telling them they are wrong doesn't work. It just offends people and shuts them off to the truth. Share the truth, never telling them they are wrong, only telling them what is correct and proving it from the scriptures.

    Just my 2 cents.

I'd say it makes a difference what country you are in. I spent 2002-2008 in the Philippines, and the people there can clearly see the failure of Catholicism.
In the U.S., the Catholic church has made many "compromises" in what was essentially a Protestant nation, and prosperous, so that it is much more difficult
to "win over" a staunch Catholic IMO. One needs only to go south of the U.S. southern border to clearly see the results of Medieval Catholicism.

Gigabyte71: I never just tell someone they are wrong. I always provide scriptures and gospel tracts.

Because clearly Scripture is not enough.

I've been down this road before, blessedwife. Apparently evan does not hold to sola scriptura, as he seems to emphasize tracts and books as equitable to scripture.

Scripture is not enough for what? Paul tells us clearly what Scripture is enough for - 2 Tim. 3:16-17 (doctrine, instruction, correction, reproof, all good works). Jesus tells us what scripture is sufficient for - Jn. 17:17 (sanctification of God's people). Isaiah tells us what scripture is sufficient for - Isa. 8:20 (final authority over personal experiences and opinions). Paul says that when he the messenger of the gospel is "bound" that the Word of God is "not bound" when it comes to evangelization of the lost. So scripture is not enough for what?

I think you misunderstood what blessedwife was talking about. Evan had stated that he always sends scriptures and tracts. Could be wrong here, but I think she was just pointing out that some people don't think scripture is enough.

That is what i was doing. I've lost track of the times I've seen Evan put books or tracks on par or even higher then Scripture itself.

Well, I am glad we agree and sorry for misunderstanding your position.

I don't think he denies that! I don't think he argues that tracts can take the place of scripture, but in fact he uses tracts that are composed of scripture and commentary on scripture.
