Mitt Romney was just given a total number of votes of 1150. He is voted Republican Nominee.
Oh happy days are here again. A temple in every town, and a new tourist industry in South America at places Christ walked.
Wish I could be there at the Convention.
SN, have you seen the planks? Life begins at conception - a major breakthrough.
Rand Paul also said that in the planks are some of his dad's ideas - Back on the gold standard, audit the fed.
Like I said, change is happening in the GOP, starting with the Tea Party sweep in 2010. Inroads to sanity have been made in the GOP and we are taking our Party back and will take our Country Back, if Romney-Ryan sweep to victory.
Perhaps God is giving our nation 1 last chance?
I hope so. There has been twenty four years of disappointing Republicans. Who knows, if Romney wins, he might be a surprise. I do agree with the improvement in the platform based on some of Paul's ideas. If Romney does lose, I am optimistic enough to believe in 2016, we will finally get a conservative candidate.
I was trying to read the platform in LE's link and my computer is not cooperating for some reason. Is the Human Life Amendment still included? The last time I checked Romney was not supporting that but it has been several weeks since I checked. Romney/Ryan ticket also supports abortion for rape and incest. I recently linked to that in another thread that I think was in Current Events.
Here is that portion cut & pasted from the platform:
There was an effort by some to take this portion out, but it was voted in and adopted.
Thank you for the info, Lady Eagle!
Sat - do you really beleive that Romney is going to make Americia Mormon?
4 years ago Sara Palin, a Penetcostal, ran for veep -
oh thats right, she made everyone become a Penetcostal
Elevate a man who worships a false god to be the potential leader of the free world and this is supposed to be God giving the nation one more chance?
One more chance for what? To show that Christians think a man is gonna take the country back?
Nominating this false god worshiper is wicked. And it is OUR wickedness that prohibits us from "taking the country back". But the scales are over too many eyes.
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chr. 7:14
You'll not have to worry about 2016.:jesus:
All these moral platitudes yet where are the Christians espousing that morality is measured against Christ? Or would pointing such a thing out highlight that the top of the ticket is a wicked man and a leader in a cultish religion that is against Jesus Christ?
i guess you can't really talk about your moral platform if, in measuring morality in a Biblical manner, you point out that nominee to be the leader out of the party is an immoral, anti-Christ.
