Tagg Romney wants to slug the President.

I guess the acorn don't fall far from the tree as far as its show of disrespect for the President.

Maybe the key is the word "joked".

But I would understand that about any son wanting to defend his father's honor. Dad's been dead for 20 years now, call him a liar and i wouldn't be joking.

You're title is a little misleading. The Romney most all of us would be thinking about is the candidate. But, it's your thread, your title and your hobby horse.

Sorry Tom. Didn't mean to mislead anyone. Just wanted to highlight the silliness around all these anti-Obama threads that are just griping about the man's choice of words or any other mundane thing that has nothing to do with anything other than folks wanting a reason to make a jab, no pun intended.

Small detail that goes right over Zaac's head.

Obama is the President of the United States, the Commander in Chief, and leader of the free world. What he says matters.

Obama made slight of the murder of U.S. citizens and an official representative of the United States.

In doing so Obama showed himself to be cold, heartless and cynical.

Tag Romney holds no official government positions and represents no one other than himself.

Tag Romney showed himself to be loyal to his father.

I seriously doubt he was joking.

I understand your sentiment about your Dad. However it is quite different from a disrespectful comment about the president. I do not know if you were in the military or not ... but it did not matter how much a person disliked an officer he/she still had to treat the officer respectfully and salute. As it was explained, you are not saluting or being respectful to the person, you are saluting and being respectful to the rank, the uniform. So, regardless of how much a person dislikes a president, he/she should treat that person respectfully as it is the office of the president that demands respect. To show a president disrespect is to show disrespect to the office of the president.

So where was Crabby's respect when George Bush was President?

BTW - Tagg Romney is not in the military. Does Crabby ever know what he is talking about?

Guess you must be good at reading everyone's motives, if you can decide if a person is joking or not.

I was in the military, and did have to salute officers and commanders i thought were inept and incompetent. I still call Mr. Obama, the president and he is more inept and incompetent than any commander and Commander in Chief i had in Viet Nam.

What the President says and what a son of a candidate for President says are worlds apart. The President called the death of an ambassador and his security detail "not optimal" The candidate's son wanted to punch the President because he called his father a liar. Can you not understand any difference?

The President's words are important. His quotes are those of a man who is suppose to represent the USA.

It was the President's men and his defenders here that made a big deal about Big Bird. It was the President who said that the death of a man he appointed as Ambassador was not optimal. It is this president who takes the serious (4 American's death) and makes it mundane. It is this president who takes the mundane (Big Bird) and makes it serious.

Nobody said he was the brightest bulb in the carton. He made a bad choice of words. Bush did it. Clinton did it. Reagan did it.

But it's as mundane to focus on the man saying "optimal" as it is mundane to focus on Romney saying the "47%" comment.

Ohh, so if Romney becomes President of the United States all those " we are all God's children" and "Mormons are Christians" statements will matter to the free world?

I guess we just cleared up that whole notion about the influence of a Mormon Romney Presidency.

But go ahead and squirm out of it.

I have said that Obama is a sociopath. I believe his behavior regarding the murder of these four men demonstrates this. He coldly announced their death on 9/12 and then flew away on two fund raisers. He did not even meet with his security advisors that morning. The fact that he has missed 50% of the security briefings indicates he doesn't care

Sometimes I have the urge to take a swing!

What "Mormons are Christians" statements has Romney made?

BTW - Do you remember when Obama talked about his "Muslim faith"?

    Why doesn't that bother you?

People said a lot of the same stuff about George Bush because he didn't jump up and run out of that classroom of little kids he was with the morning of 9/11. "What kind of leadership is that"? "He should be ashamed of himself for staying there" "He doesn't care" and on and on and on.

I'll ask again, all of you who are constantly dogging this man every time he inhales, how many of you really prayed for him today?

Maybe if more people did what God instructed instead of looking for every opportunity to take a swing at everything he says or does the EXACT SAME way liberals did with Bush, maybe his decision making process would be different.

Let your fingers do the walking and look it up.

I remember an interview he did with George Stephanopulous(?sp) where he said something about his Muslim faith.

It bothers me the same way it bothers me that the man has denigrated all things Christ while uplifting everything Muslim.

    So what else you got?

A completely idiotic and false premise for a thread.

The title is completely off the wall and completely unsupported by your "source".

    Your trolling skills are slipping.

Your refusal to support your assertion speaks volumes for your sincerity.
Meaning what? That it doesn't bother you at all?

    [TO THE CLIQUE:
Sorry I'm late, I just got the memo that Zaac was posting nonsense and I got here as fast as I could.]

"Romney's Act of Terror" turns out to be a private thought by his son Tagg that he let slip out in a joking manner.

    Really. That's. All. You. Got?

Right, it's okay to dissect everything the side you don't like says and read all sorts of innuendo into it. But heaven knows that it's just nonsensical to do that with the side the clique supports.

Get your fingers walkin' and find me an instance where I've read innuendo into statements made by 'the other side'.
