    That is right Reagan was once a liberal who turned conservative. He was once a liberal and an abortionist who repented.

    I think that we can tell by looking at the stance of the GOP since 1982 to amend the constitution to protect the life of the child versus the Democrat Party insistence that the life of the child depends upon the decision of the mother. I don't know of any pro-life Democrats in the last 30 years although there have been one or two who were silenced by the Democrat leaders. The Democrat Presidents Clinton and Obama have been in favor of abortion and Obama has advocated that any baby born alive in the process of being aborted should be murdered by the doctor on the spot.

    The GOP is a bunch of smoke and mirrors when it comes to abortion.:laugh:

    But we're talking about individuals and not political parties.

    As such, if Mandela is described as an abortionist, then Reagan can likewise be described as one.

    Actually Rev. he didn't repent. He made a deal with the Pope. The agreement was the Pope would not complain of a new generation of missiles being introduced into NATO and Reagan would politically oppose abortion. This is not a well know fact. I only know it because I indexed a book on abortion in the 1990's and these negotiations and agreement was discussed in one of the chapters.

    This seems to be an issue totally ignored by both the right and left media outlets.

    Never claimed to. But I'm willing to bet 50 pushups Reagan was a more consistent post-repentance anti-abortionist than Mandela was a post-repentance anti-communinst.

    You could prove me wrong, since it's your thread. I would have no problem admitting it if it's true. But I'm betting Reagan. But I don't care enough to do any research, given your refusal to view anything in an objective, non-biased manner.

    Interesting CTB. I was actually gonna venture earlier that Reagan was probably only politically pro-life because that's what his public persona needed to be. Like most Republicans, he only made noise about abortion because of voting blocs.

    ANd why do yall keep mentioning him repenting? He didn't have an abortion. It's not a sin to be pro-choice.

    Proving you right or wrong isn't the purpose of the thread.

    Ain't no need for you to do any research. It's recorded history that Reagan was an abortionist too so it doesn't matter what you find about him repenting of something that's not a sin.
