The perfect baptist treat! Heavenly cream floating through pillows of bubbly air. MMMMM. Wonder what soda would be like if sweetened with honey instead of sugar? Hrm.
Breyers with vanilla beans in it and in coke instead of root beer is good too!

Since I have been clean and sober since Christmas Day of 1998, I have not touched that evil brew.

And I must drive past the A&W (den of iniquity) on my way to the clinic every day. It is a temptation parallel to 40-days in the wilderness, for certain sure.

Ok, what's wrong with root beer? Thought I was doing good by just avoiding the caffeinated stuff!

Actually the caffeine in soda is one of the smaller issues!

Phosphoric Acid (think - "eating away bones") is the leading cause of bone density loss, esp in females. Think of all the teen girls drinking diet sodas to "keep thin", not realizing the long-term damage this is doing as it leaches calcium from bones. Can you say "osteoporosis"?

Sugar/Aspartame are awful chemicals. If sugar were to try to "get approval" from the FDA today, it would never make it. It is, of course, the leading cause of obesity, diabetes, and scores of disease and debilitating illnesses that rob believers of the strength to minister.

Now you've really given me a paper cut and poured lemon juice on it [IMG] .

    NO ROOT BEER HERE :( :( .

I can't get a root beer float. Dr Bob will say I should thank the Lord for deliverance from temptation, but oh how we miss them ;) .

Shouldn't we be debating more prevalant issues other than the root beer float. This is the Baptist only, debate forum. We should be talking about sweet tea and sweet potato pie. I forget that we are not all in the south.

Ok, that was enough for me. Shall reserve it all except in times of sickness or root beer float need. LOL
Just tell me honey isn't bad for you! I can live if I replace sugar with honey.

You know what else is good? A Club Orange float. Club Orange is a pulpy, carbonated orange drink so it is kind of like a Creamsicle in a glass.
