This would be a more appropriate question for the Translations Forum, where his name pops up all the time.

Don't know the fellow, but from what I've read about him in the versions room, I think I'd like to meet him.

Peter, "The KJVO corrected the actual NT manuscripts because of 'advanced" e.g. "new" revelation" Ruckman? No thanks, this guy is a couple steps above the Rev. Fred Phelps.

I can not believe that anybody would consider this person an "authority" on anything, much less a person of Christian character.

I refer you all here: http://aomin.org/ruckcor.html to see this man's character manifested in his very own handwriting in letters to Dr. James White. Some of his comments are unfit of a person that says he is a minister of the gospel. To quote James, " he is obviously unfamiliar with the fruit of the Spirit in his life, and gives evidence of it in almost every sentence."

He will have to answer to his God for the damage he has done. His teachings (though not original with him; they are 7th Day Adventist) have divided much of fundamental Baptist.

I have heard a tape and the filth that spewed from him (4-letter, vulgar) was unreal.

(BTW, I did move this to the Versions Forum. One cannot name of the name of Ruckman anywhere else without it becoming a knock-down/drag-out on the only sect)

I was posting my reply while you were moving it [IMG] . Figured this was where it must be.

BTW - I don't think about him on purpose

:D I agree. My blood reaches the boiling point over what he has done. If I were God for only 2 minutes . . .

(Famous quotation by Billy Sunday about the atheist Robert Ingersoll who dared God to kill him)

When I think of what the Bible teaches about false teachers I wonder how anyone could ever think he is a Christian. I think he has demonstrated this by his spirit, language and divisivness. A man who loves Jesus gets rid of self not embraces it. A man who loves Jesus does seek to be divisive. He has not the spirit of God. He is arrogant and conceited.

I don't believe he knows God at all. All he knows is himself.

Wasn't it Jesus who spoke about him when he spoke of those who call Him Lord, Lord?

When even rabid KJVO David Cloud criticizes him, what does that tell you? I saw on the internet (that GeneMBridges mentioned above)an exchange between him and James White. Ruckman's language was totally inappropriate for someone who is (supposedly) a Christian.
Yes, he has done considerable damage to the cause of Christ. My prayer is that the world at large will not judge Christianity by those out there on the frenge.

Dr. Ruckman is a false prophet. From his May, 1997 Bible Believers Bulletin:

"Now, the dykes and sex perverts in Washington have drawn up a hit list. The WEB and the Internet and the fax and the surveillance going on now is to define those targets and then remove them. If you want to know who those targets are, I can name them for you . . . you will see the sudden 'SUICIDE' of these targets or their 'HEART FAILURES' or their ACCIDENTAL death in a PLANE CRASH . . . all kinds of ACCIDENTS happen to people like this . . . I KNOW WHO the targets are in the next TWO or THREE years. On this 'prophesy' I CAN'T MISS. They are:"

    1. Texas Marrs

    2. Jack Chick

    3. Don McAlvaney

    4. Tom Anderson

    5. Peter Ruckman

"So, the next man on the hit list would probably be that famous junk yard dog from Pensacola, Florida, PETER S. RUCKMAN. I don't kid myself about these things. I don't overestimate my importance, but I know where I stand with the New World and
the New Age and the News Media. I know exactly where I stand. They hate my guts."

"We gentlemen are condemned men . . . It is just a matter of time before the AXE FALLS . . . I have been a target ever since I was saved . . . I know my destination. I am PREDESTINATED TO STOP A BULLET or maybe a more subtle method, such as an accidental car wreck or accidental plane crash or logical looking 'suicide' or an ordinary 'heart attack.' The CIA has all kinds of ways of keeping a secret. And I know at least twenty of them."

    No further commentary needed.

Slambo, I sought to speak to him in Pensacola in 1995. His "bodyguards" blocked my way and threatened to call the law if I persisted. When I politely asked one of 'em if he was a Christian, he gave me the "finger". But they freely let others walk up to him. I reckon they disallowed me because I'm big & ugly. They had no idea who I was. I wrote him a letter about that little incident; it was never answered.

Why would a pastor in America need "bodyguards"?

NOW...Can YOU defend his false prophecies?

Slambo, can you even ATTEMPT to defend Ruckman's false prophecies? Or, is all you can do is attempt to steer the current of the thread off that subject?

My point is I've met Dr.Ruckman and he is nothing like his detractors say he is....There HAD to be a legit reason for his rejection by Dr.Ruckman.

And I assure you it wasn't fear of defending the KJV or his position....
