Today on the radio, due to the current administration policy of attacking Rush Limbaugh, Rush challenged Odrama to a debate on his radio program. He also offered to pay for all expenses for the President coming, going, and accommodations. The debate would center on any and all Odrama policies. To bad Odrama will nto take him up on it.

I am no fan of Rush Limbaugh. I think it might be good for Rush that Obama won't debate him as I think Rush would come out looking bad. He always sounds like a blowhard to me.

Yep. It is becoming a parody of itself. No President should dignify self importance of a media entertainer like Limbaugh. I am also sad to see Michael Steele caved over his comments re: this guy.

The problem is that the president already has.

Think about it: We are in "the worst economy since the Great Depression." The stock market is imploding. Jobs are being lost everyday. And this administration is wasting time talking about Rush Limbaugh who most people don't like and don't listen to anyway.

If the adminstration would spend more time doing their job and less time whining about talk radio entertainers, perhaps the economy would be improving.

Don't mistake a comment in passing to the focus of the administration.

This admins comments are clearly more than just in passing. Obama has made reference to Rush twice, the AG once, and press secretary several times. At this point it is as much an admin policy as anything else.

I haven't. It wasn't. It has been a repeated thing. In fact, there is a news story today that this is the result of pollling from Carville's group who found out that Rush's positive ratings were 11%. The Democrats found out that there was political mileage to be gained here. It is clearly not about solving the problems of the country. It is about gaining political ground.

In the mean time, the economy is still bad. People are getting laid off. The stock market is down. And the administration is talking about an entertainer that most people don't like and don't listen to anyway, and who doesn't have any authoritative power.

I thing I don't like about Rush is that the only "guests" he will have on are "Rush Friends" such as Cheny, Newt, ect.

It is my understanding that it is hard for Rush to debate someone.
But it seems that Obama is the exception. Obama can give a stirring speech, but has some problems when he does not have a script in front of him.

I think this is what Rush is hoping for.

Overall, I would love to see a Obama - Rush Debate. and NO - Rush would NOT be an entertainer for something like this. If fact, I believe that Rush would be a very gracious host.

Well, Rush seems to be pretending that he is the head of the Republican party. They deserve him.

Your characterization doesn't meet reality. He has the largest show in America.

Rush, whatever he is, is not a "hack 3rd rate radio jock." But name one president who has even gone after a media figure like this.

My guess is that they think Rush has the power to sway public opinion and they are scared of him. So they are going after him because they think he is their biggest threat.

While I have respect for Rush, I don't think he's that great of a debater. He is firey non-the-less.

If you want an awesome debater to go toe to toe with Barack Obama, you need to get Pat Buchanan. He is what I would consider to be a close second to Ronald Reagan in terms of debating. Obama knows how to make everything sound great when the speeches are written for him & the questions are scripted properly. How do you think he would react if he actually debated someone better than he was?

Personally, I think he would squirm uncomfortably behind his podium.

    Who is Rush? :tongue3:

I don't like listening to him either....

But I have to say, ever since Obama and his people have condemned him.. I have listened more...

I wonder if Rush's ratings are going up because of Obama...

Of course Rush will say they have...
    Obama will say they haven't...

OH, me of my.. who do I turn to for truth?
Where O where can it be?

I wonder if I can find truth in the Bible....

    Hmmmm....

I don't think it will happen because of the possibility of it not being a civil debate. Besides, Obama is already President. What does he need to debate anyone for?
