    Certainly not that white female.
Do people really believe that she is fit to run?

Y'know, I get kinda tired of hearing about Palin's supposed 'lack of fitness'. Let's see... Clinton was a governor, Carter was a governor...

    Need I say more?

The disastrous Katie Couric interview did more to hurt Palin's VP candidacy and make her look unfit for the job than any other single thing she did. The McCain campaign completely mishandled the interview and made it look like she wasn't ready for the VP job. It's similar to the way the Bush campaign mishandled things for Dan Quayle in 1988. To his credit, Quayle changed his image during the '92 campaign, especially the VP debate where he really went after Gore. If Palin is the Barracuda Hockey Mom that she wants us to think she is, then she should be able to do the same kind of image remaking for a 2012 run.

More so than Obama. What experience does he have to be president? A hustler for votes on the streets of Chicago which he was able to parlay to the presidency. Slick but not sufficient.:tonofbricks:

Not an apologist for Obama, not a fan nor did I vote for him.

America has been ready for a black president. Powell could have had the republican nomination instead of Dole. It would have been up to the people to vote for him. What about Alan Keyes.

Color wasn't the issue, because if America wanted to nominate a black president, they had their chance. It was because this president happened to be "black" and promise to give you something for nothing.

Clinton came from a state that is light years ahead of Alaska in sophistication....

I thought we were discussing Gov Palin and her future plans.

I don't know how she would do in high office, but I would rather have her as my friend than my enemy :)

All black males are not qualified to be President and all white females are not unqualified. Sarah Pain was not a strong candidate. If Hilary Clinton had been nominated by the democratic party see would be the president-elect today and you wouldn't be making this argument.

I keep hearing this but I don't see what Sarah lacks that made her so weak or unqualified as a candidate. Perhaps someone could enlighten me.

She didn't go through the gatekeeping media... So therefore, the media has brainwashed people into parroting what they want them to.

The media didn't like Palin because they didn't introduce her to America.
Therefore they are doing everything they can to tear her down.

And the liberals are slaves to what the media says. They have no gumption to think for themselves. They don't like her because the media has told them not to...

    Lazy people make good liberals...

She also had the baby that the liberals wouldn't want to have to look at in the daily news. Can't have that baby playing in the White House, the press corps might be embarrassed.

I'm waiting for BB to answer at least twenty challenges I have presented to him. Since I'm not allowed to call him a troll, or a coward, I guess I gotta call him a hit & run poster, of the highest order.

Run this one by me again??

    Um' - Duh! - let's see. [IMG]

Governor Sarah Palin currently holds the highest office one can hold, in the state of Alaska, namely the office of Governor.

And Governor Palin just completed a run, albeit unsucessfully, in which she received a major party nomination for the second highest elected office in the United States (which office is considered the third highest overall, after that of the President of the United States and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court) - namely that of Vice-President of the United States.

Uh - isn't this thread (and title) just a wee bit after the fact?? (Regardless of where one's personal affinity lies, either with or in opposition (or anywhere in the middle) with Gov. Palin??) [IMG]

Or did Rip van Snoozing just wake up after a 20 year nap to post the original article on-line?? :sleeping_2:

It is debatable, to say the least, as to which states are or are not ahead of others in "sophistication."

"Sophistry" might be a much easier call! :D
