I haven't heard too many politicians saying "Praise Jesus" when speaking to a church crowd or talking about when they got "saved and baptised." Did you even watch the video or are you just commenting off the cuff?

I watched it and realized I was watching a politician campaigning for the second highest office in the world. I have no doubt she is saved but I don't see what it had to do with being VP. Pope maybe but not VP. I know many Christians who say Praise Jesus and have a good testimony but I wouldn't give them my vote...

It's just more proof how she has so many with love blinders following her every move with complete adoration for common everyday actions. Just because she did it. You know the manufacturer can't keep pace with the orders for her style of glasses?

The video was filmed in June. I seriously doubt she had even been contacted by the McCain camp in June about running for VP.

Are we ready for a Pentacostal VP?

Palin's Pentecostal Roots Under Attack (w/video)
    9/6/2008

    http://www.chron.com/channel/housto...rleyPost:12162c31-9c19-4cde-950e-7ad2feac5379

Sarah Palin, Republican nominee for Vice President, has come under increased scrutiny in many areas. As a national neophyte, this is understandable, but the media has extended its inquiries into Palin's Pentecostal faith.
A recent AP article notes that Palin's Pentecostal roots are obscured in her biography. In an August 14 interview with Time, Palin described herself as Christian and only when pressed did she state that she attends a non-denominational community church. No mention is made of her conversion in the Wasilla Assemblies of God church as a teen and her long stay there until 2002.
Why would Sarah omit this? Grant Wacker, an expert on Pentecostalism at Duke Divinity School, offered this explanation in the same AP article: "Though Pentecostals are diverse and rapidly mainstreaming themselves, the public still perceives them as sectarian and uncompromising, and those traits will not help Palin's image."

Maybe. Or, maybe Palin is trying to avoid the "Jeremiah Wright" treatment being given to the Reverend Ed Kalnins, pastor of the Wasilla AG church. USA TODAY cites a Huffington Post source: "Kalnins has preached that critics of President Bush will be banished to hell; questioned whether people who voted for Sen. John Kerry in 2004 would be accepted into heaven; and preached that the Sept. 11 attacks and the war in Iraq were part of a world war over Christianity." (Note: the Wasilla AG church has clarified Palin's role in the church.)

Wow, I sure hope this isn't true. Well, it doesn't matter, the conservatives will say he had good intension so it is not the same as Wright who is inflammatory and anti-American.

Saying "Praise Jesus" does not necessarily mean much. G. Bush has often used the 'right' Christian words, but I see nothing in his actions that make me believe he understands what being a Christian is all about.

Is she or is she not a part of this church? On the one hand she speaks of being baptized and "under its umbrella", but then she seems to refer to the church in somewhat remote terms. Like "I don't know you guys well."

Rather incoherent stuff, frankly. Not at all statesmanlike? [stateswomanlike?]. Not at all the way she came across during the convention. Suggests that she may not be all that capable of forming and communicating a coherent thought.

I do notice, for what it's worth, that she is apparently opposed to using the letter "g" at the end of words ending "--- ing"!

From what I understand, this was the church where she was saved and baptized - and left in 2001 or so. She now attends a Bible church as opposed to this AofG church. Hope that helps.

Yes, there is. The Obama-Biden administration will start to undo the damage done to our nation by the Bush-Cheney administration that a McCain-Palin administration would continue.

Any idea how long she was a member there? I can always google it but thought I would ask.

@Joseph Smith = In her defense she did say she didn't prepare words since she didn't think she would make the meeting. When caught off guard I ramble at first also until I can find my gears...

What do you mean? Are you right-wingers going to start an armed rebellion or something because a black man will be president?

Probably not but they'll be calling for his impeachment before he's even inaugurated.

If you're going to call Tinytim a racist, then come right out and do it.

    That was a low blow.
