Can anyone else see if this story has legs ? A blogger has claimed to have hacked into her e-mail, and has posted up private pictures, and contact lists, all in an effort to see if she's hidden evidence in the troopergate fairy tale.

The comments are so rude on the blog, that I can't, in good conscience link to it, if I absolutely need to, I will. But together, I think we can find out if this happened for sure, or not.

AP writer Ted Bridis has a story on this. It was on my iPhone news server this morning, but there was no link.

    Found a story on FOX

This is one of those things that, at first, doesn't sound like a big deal.

My hunch is that it goes much deeper than any of us realize yet.

Someone should ask Obama about this.

Sounds like a dirty tricks operation.

    Nixon was impeached for Watergate.

    Could this be Obama's emailgate?

Perhaps the seriousness of the charges warrant a special investigation.

The only problem that may come out of this is the possibility of using a personal email account rather than her official email for state business...which i know is easy to do because i have a church email account and a personal email account and will use which ever one i'm in at the time.
As for the hack, just show how low and sleazy the left can be and how they still are the masters of the "politics of personal destruction" that they like to accuse others of.

The story is about the illegal hacking and that nothing incriminating or earthshaking was found.

Liberals have to try to change it to something else entirely, to make it sound like the illegal hacking was somehow Palin's fault.

Emails belong to you, and should be yours only unless you share it. Hacking and taking any file, even email is stealing. This can not be condoned by any one. I don't care which side stole what email from anyone else, it's still wrong. Hacking is illegal, stealing is illegal, it doesn't matter one bit what if anything is in the stolen emails, if they are illegally obtained. Electronic crimes have to anger anyone who uses a computer.

It has to do with circumventing Government laws on archiving all communication relating to government. It also violates security policies there to safeguard our information (the hacking proves why we have these safeguards). Lastly, it is contrary to her platform on open government. She is saying she is a reformist, this practice of using private accounts is part of what needs to be reformed. The Bush administration has been under fire for this exact same practice.

If the Governor has nothing to hide and is conducting Alaska's business in their best interest, why would she have a need for private accounts except for personal emails? This will also play into the trooper gate investigation along with the 78 emails she has refused to release he refused to release sighting "executive" or "deliberative process" privileges.

I agree, the hacking should not be condoned anymore than a trusted official conducting state business against security and archive/public disclosure laws.

Illegal is illegal and we Christians should not defend any of it.

Again, the family should be off limits so those pictures of her kids etc...

You say this right after you tried to make it sound like Palin's fault.

You speak with a forked tongue.

Palin is not at fault? She didn't conduct government business using personal accounts? If so, that is a crime.

How about this, we can be assured Yahoo is being subpoenaed as we speak to retrieve backup images from heir servers. Why don't we leave the judgment, "nothing incriminating or earthshaking was found" open until that investigation is complete?

So why was everybody mad at Bush with his surveillance policies ?

    Oh wait, right/left again.

Hey Roger, and I know I say these kinds of things to you, a lot, but didn't the Nixon administration pay DEARLY for Watergate ?

    amazing!!!

What did she steal? She's the victim of a crime and you want to blame her. That's liberal thinking, all right.

    Your cynicism knows no bounds.

You are correct, she didn't steal anything that we know of at this time.

She says she is a proponent of open government, she put the states checkbook on line, yet she conducts the business of her office using illegal methods.

I don't defend the thief but I also don't defend the politician who acted illegally in the administration of her trusted duties. In my view they are both wrong and I somehow thought this was one place all us "Christians" could agree.

I see we have the attitude of your sin is shameful but my sin is justified... Just let me explain.
