"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.
I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." -- Barack Obama

Will one of you please explain this statement to me?....LOL

Do you think that the United States is perfect? I don't.

Do you think that anything major needs changing? I do.

The morning muster was going on, everybody had been standing 12 on/12 off watch shifts, and due to where we were, we couldn't run the boilers, so no clean laundry or showers going on eight days. Everybody on the ship stinkin, miserable, tired, & wanting a change.

The chief comes up and says, "hey, good news men, we all get a change of underwear today. Now the bad news, Smith, you change with Fitzpatrick, O'Connor, you change with Payne......"

    That's a good one!

Back to the subject...I've seen a website of Obama's rhetorical stumbles, akin to Bush's wrestling match with grammar. I didn't bookmark it, so I'll have to see if I can find it again. It's almost as funny as the WLW website with Hillary's facial expressions. She can have some doozies.

This country, while great, is in dire need of change.
Those who don't understand this are most likely isolated nationalists.

    That statement has no foundation.

Change can mean many things. For example, change could mean putting Social Security into private accounts where the individual decides how to invest if there is more than a ten year time horizon left. That is probably a change that Obama would not like, despite the fact the system will collapse in a few years. The same will happen to Medicare without reform.

Change can also mean really protecting the borders, which Obama would not like.

Change can mean protecting the lives of the unborn becomes the law of the land, which Obama would not like.

    The list is endless.

What Obama supporters are really wanting is a change to the left of this already left government. Obama supporters want more control of government in American's lives and less self reliance.

Political blather. He has nothing to say, so that is exactly what he says: nothing. He's just so stinkin' good at it...

We can't change our status among other nations unless we become less than the greatest [supposing we really are]. Yet we can become even greater by putting those others further under our feet.

Meanwhile, he needs to be asked if he is the liar, or his pastor is. They ain't both right on this.

I am without a doubt a nationalist. And the change we need is to defeat socialists.
