    A few months ago our oldest dd was struck with a serious illness that has turned our lives upside down. Our happy, healthy, bright-eyed, super smart girl suddenly became almost completely bedridden in a matter of days.

    I've made some nice friends here at BB, but lately the un-Christian behavior here is just overwhelming. We have open profanity being posted, banned-then-returning members causing discord, trolls taking over some forums, moderators who have not even logged in for MONTHS, and the anger and unkindness is at an all time high.

    All these reasons, combined with my dd's illness, have caused me to become less than gracious in my own posting. Honestly, the time I've spent here could be better used in reading my Bible and praying. I need to draw closer to God, not get caught up in stupid, petty arguments that do nothing to edify.

    So, I'm saying goodbye. I may or may not be back, depending on different factors, but for now, it's time for me to leave. For my friends who wish to keep in contact, you may pm me and I can give you my email addy. Thanks.

    I hate to see good people like you go. Just make it a hiatus, check in on us, maybe things will get better.

    I'm sorry for your troubles. I'll keep you and your daughter and your family in our prayers.

    As for the things you've experienced here, I certainly do understand. I very rarely post here anymore for that very reason.

    You go take care of that daughter of yours. Our oldest finished his first semester at college with a 3.9 GPA. A week later he was nearly catatonic in a hospital. Been there, done that, no T-shirts. That was almost 16 years ago. A lot changes in your life when a child is ill but it doesn't always stay the way it is right now. Lots of prayers on your behalf!

    You will be missed. I hope you come back but as you say, you have other claims on your time.
