1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

Does this mean that an unbeliever for example could not even say the words Jesus is Lord?
And what about false teachers? Copeland and friends say that Jesus is Lord all the time. Does this prove that they are real christians and not false teachers?
Somehow this "test" seems a bit too simple. Everybody can simply drop a quick Jesus is Lord and then everything is supposed to be fine?

Its not saying that at all.

It is saying that nobody comes to the conclution that Jesus is Lord on their own with out the help of the Holy Spirit.

In other words no true believe came to that belief on his own. The Holy Spirit convicted that person. This is not a "test" for false teachers as anybody can speak the words Jesus is Lord without really believing what they say.

But what about the demons? They also know that Jesus is Lord but this doesn't come from the Holy Spirit.

    DeeJay is correct.

The word "say" does not mean to speak. It means to claim it as the truth.

He is not talking about demons. He is talking about humanity. "No man can say.....". He is not talking about words, He is talking about salvation.

But does Benny Hinn not also believe that Jesus is Lord?
This would mean that he cannot be a false prophet. You cannot have the holy spirit and be a false prophet.

Benny Hinn or the Word of God . . .

    Sounds pretty clear.

When Benny proclaims the Word of God, he is speaking God's Word. When he does not proclaim the Word of God . . . well, that is pretty clear.

Who knows what Benny Hinn believes in his heart. Only him and the Lord.

You have to compair what he says with Gods word in the Bible to see if he is a false teacher.
