Top SBC story, but surely not THE top story . . .
Anybody have a link to the new statement?
Baptist Faith & Message 2000
That certainly was a big story. But, I think a bigger story would be, on the positive side, the fact that an SBC committee has recommended that the SBC disassociate with the UN run BWA. This is one of the better moments for the SBC. On the negative side, it is very alarming how the SBC, generally speaking, seems to be abandoning the Scripture and moving toward the Catholic tradition of man-made creeds and toward worldly Church Growth Trends. Of course, this has been happening over probably the past two decades.
The biggest secular story for the world would be the overthrow and capture of Saddam Hussein.
The BWA story was No. 2 on the list, Joseph.
