School Board Refuses to Block Cross-Dresser from Field Trips

    By Jim Brown
    January 20, 2003
(AgapePress) - A Missouri school board has brushed aside the complaints of concerned parents and decided it will not prevent a cross-dressing parent from chaperoning field trips for nine- and ten-year-old children.

After her daughter's fourth-grade class at Castlio Elementary School returned from a field trip to Jefferson City, Vicki McMichael learned that a student's father had gone on the trip dressed as a woman. Since the incident, McMichael and her husband have repeatedly asked the Francis Howell Board of Education to adopt a policy that simply requires parents who chaperon to wear "gender appropriate" attire.

Although I would not want the child to miss seeing their parent there, under no circumstances can you allow such things. The children see this and assume that this is natural behaviour.

Yet there's really no reason the school could give to forbid it that would hold up in court.

unless the parents petitioned the school board to stop it.

And if they refused I would not allow my child top participate if that individual was

Even with a petition, the Board would have no legal gounds to ban the individual. Regretfully, cross-dressing, while just as sinful as drunken driving*, is not viewed as such by the unsaved world.

*both are the outworking an desire to escape reality.

I suggest you try homeschooling, then a cross-dressing sodomite would not be an issue for your children. Would it?

To be honest, we have our children in a charter school, and have been praying about returning to home-schooling.
Our education system is totally messed up. don't get me started.
One school system required some parents to undergo sensitivity/tolerance instruction because they have taught their children that regardless of what they are taught in school, homosexual activity is a sin.

    JBarner,
Did you say that some of the schools required the PARENTS to attend "tolerance," classes? Are you joking?

I believe that things like this are going to cause God to remove His Hand of protection from America. If it continues to get worse I believe that God will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorah. Just ramblin'. Rick Sr.

    yes they did
they relented when the community went ballistic.
the rational was that the parents were teaching the kids to deny others civil rights. the implication is that sexual orientation is the same as racial issues. PC at it's finest. this was 5 or 6 years ago in a small town. They imported a superintendant and he lasted about 6 months before the recall petition was upheld by the local court.
    edited for clarity (added recall)
