That verse is referring to elders in the church. I don't think any earthly government gives a flip about my soul. :)

No, not really. I think the difficulty for you is arguing with people who know what they are talking about, and use words purposely to describe it, and don't change their position every few months.

It did go away. You restarted it here by failing to read closely again.

I agree with that except for Ron Paul being consistently prolife. I explained why clearly and you have not made an argument against it. Your argument is that the constitution allows us not to be consistently prolife. I agree.

What do you call a silly baseless argument if not silly? If someone makes a bad argument, let's treat it like it's bad. Let's call it out.

But we expect judges to make decisions on facts and law, not on personal views. I agree that worldview affects judges. That's why we need conservative judges. But calling someone a terrorist before they are convicted is hardly a worldview thing.

Actually, this is the crux of the matter. A person stands up in front of a crowd and says "A is a terrorist." That is not a legal declaration of what a jury or court would say. Even if that person is a judge, his statement has no legal force. It is not legal until he makes that statement as a judge. Until then, it is opinion.

this makes no sense. I haven't done this so far as I know. But then I am not sure what the antecedents of your pronouns are, so I am not entirely clear about what you are trying to say.

    To some I am not.

Backwards a world view? since when did the gospel become backwards world view? I have used no ad hominem to defend anything, and certainly not the indefensible. You actually know that, probably.

Okay, then you agree with the court who said that the right to public trials is not inviolable as I cited above. And now I wonder why you have been arguing with me when you appear to agree with the court. I am not sure I agree with them yet.

If you don't have enough evidence, you can't arrest them yet. That is consitutional.

But through surveillance you can get more, if it is not compromised.

I think we would. Terrorists aren't scared of the constitution.

At least we agree on that.
Really? Where have i done that? Reading closely would have informed you that I am unconvinced, but I lean against private trials. To quote myself: I am not convinced either way. My inclination is to lean against private trials for anything. But I understand the other side. (Post 79 on page 8).

So I am not sure why you accuse me of being on teh side of security above liberty. I think it is because you didn't read closely and that is bad on your part.

Listen, you need to learn to respond to what is said in a gentlemanly way. You took this conversation a bad direction with your tactics and I don't appreciate it. I don't think others do, except for those who are on your side who want to win an argument at all costs, even the truth about what people say. I reject that tactic and I wish you would join me.
