Featured Seeker Churches = Apostates?

Maybe the "name if and claim it" crowd, the "prosperity gospel" preachers........... but a born-again, washed-in-the-blood of the Lamb authentic Christian? If the latter is lying, or is deceived, then that isn't the Holy Spirit guiding the way; it is that old sinful nature rearing its ugly head.

Well you are right about one thing. We disagree.

Lordship salvation is not a works salvation - far from it. People mischaracterize it as such but it really is simply the biblical truth that people will grow in sanctification as a result of their justification.

As for Washer's use of terms like "silly profession" and "gospel reductionism" - is he wrong? He isn't using those terms to describe those who genuinely come to Christ but instead the false teaching that you can rotely repeat a prayer and be saved based on your own sincerity. Is that not a reduction of the gospel? Isn't that resulting in many making empty professions of faith that will not save?
