    Interesting.

Piper doesn't discount tongues being restricted to "other known languages," but may also include the speech of angels ("...though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels...").

I have heard and read some of his teaching on the modern charisma manifestations and he seems to raise an alarm at the over exuberance, the excess, and question the mindset of the things you mentioned.

However, he is certainly DofG thinking and he is not a cessation thinker.

Sam Storms, Adrian Warnock, and of course Mark Driscoll (Acts 29 church network). Also Terry Virgo (NewFrontiers church network) and Wayne Grudem.

Don't think many baptists would be strict cessationist, as many still see God does heal IF in His will, and that He can do miracles still, in His will, but see that NONE have been gifted as Apostles were to do such!

And most also view the signs and wonders/revelatory gifts having ceased, as Jesus has ben conirmed, and have the completed canon now!

The Great Commission Resurgence (B&H Publishing, 2010) pp. 70, 71:

"Though it is difficult to prove, there is anecdotal evidence that the ministries of "Third Wave" Calvinist theologians and pastors like Wayne Grudem, C. J. Mahaney, and Sam Storms have also influenced some within the SBC to be at least open to the possibility that miraculous gifts continue to the present."

"in June 2007 Lifeway Research released a study that indicated half of Southern Baptist pastors believe private prayer languages are biblical, though critics disputed the findings."

Again, unless any of them aree modern day Apostles, the Bible does not supprt their beliefs!
