Well, he can't very well say he hasn't called President Bush a liar now. Of course, he already lied about it anyway -

Kerry accuses Bush of lying about debate

WASHINGTON (AP) -- John Kerry on Saturday looked to frame the next presidential debate in a speech criticizing President Bush's economic record, but also tried to get in a final word about their last face-off by declaring himself the winner and Bush a liar.

"George Bush lost the debate," an announcer says in a television ad Kerry's campaign unveiled Saturday. "Now he's lying about it."

The Democratic presidential candidate's accusation comes two days after his first debate with Bush, when he told moderator Jim Lehrer that he avoids saying that the president is lying to the American people.

"I've never, ever used the harshest word, as you did just then," Kerry said. "And I try not to, but I'll nevertheless tell you that I think he has not been candid with the American people."

    Ken,

When has Kerry admitted to being a war criminal? Seriously.

The thing that scares me about Senator Kerry's first debate was when he said that the U.S. is developing a smaller cluster bomb which is neuclear and that he would set aside this plan and program. He showed himself to be the 'Peacenic' that he was at the conclusion of the Vietnam
War. Peace at any cost. He voted against all the new weapons systems. "Unworthy of Command!'

    Daisy,

You can't be serious. Everyone knows about the interview where he admitted to committing war crimes in Vietnam given to MSNBC in the 1970's. It has been posted on this board many times.

    Not everyone, evidently.

I know he said that atrocities were committed and he read some statements on the behalf of other soldiers which may have been written in the first person, but did he say that he himself was a war criminal?

By the way, Joseph, that would have been NBC, not MSNBC back in the 1970's. [IMG]

There was also the small matter of the self-inflicted purple hearts, or the meeting with communist leaders in Paris during the vietnam war (without Government knowlege or permission) by which he is honored in the communist war museum for 'helping the communist party win the war against the United States'.

    Thanks, Joseph.

Technically, he's a self-admitted atrocity committer, while the men, such as McNamarra and Kissinger, who ran the war were the war criminals.

Last I heard, if someone does something that is "contrary to the laws of warfare," and "contrary to the Geneva Conventions", then it is a war crime. Now, I guess if you want to argue the Nuremburg defense for Kerry, then you need to go back and apologize to all of those Nazi war criminals who were executed for their war crimes since they also used the just following orders defense. But, then again, there is no proof that the government or his superiors ordered him to commit such war crimes, and even if they did, he would have been morally and legally responsible to not only not follow those orders, but also to report these crimes. I always find it interesting how much the liberals want to crucify the Abu Graib guards, but want to make Kerry president. I guess the difference is the fact that Kerry is a rich Massechussetts liberal who wants to kill unborn babies.

Yeah, I noticed that Bush was sliding in the polls, too, Joseph.

But I don't think cranking up the volume is going to help much now.

    Galatian,

What are you talking about? If you will read the first post in the thread, you will see that the truth about Kerry's war criminal history was brought up by a Peroutka supporter, KenH. Last I heard, Peroutka supporters were not really pro-Bush. Is there something I don't know about the CP?

BTW, do you have any evidence that anything Kerry said about the government and his superior officers is true? I said EVIDENCE, not an opinion editorial. Also, do you buy into the Nuremburg defense that John Kerry has put forth here? If not, then what is the difference with Kerry? Why should he not be prosecuted like the Abu Graib guards are?
