Is this the first time Disney has been accused of being right-wing propagandists? I had thought of them with a much more liberal bent.

The only remotely liberal thing about them is that they don't forbid gay day that their theme park. They are of the capitalist persuasion.

Why is it that the only ones coming out against this movie are Democrat polititians? I dont hear any complaining from their constituants. I dont hear nothing from Republicans. Is there something they dont want us to find out? Are they afraid this film will only make Americans angry and return us to the bellicosity we had right after 9-11? Or is it just too close to the election?

Daisy I say this with mutual repspect, you are wrong. Disney is very liberal in that a large portion of their employees are homosexual. It is a very hostile atmosphere to anyone who opposes homosexuality. Whenever you see Mickey, Donald, Pluto and such walking around its a good bet the person behind the costume is homosexual. They tend to take roles Where acting or set decorating are invovled. I have lived in Orlando a good portion of my life and I have known many of these folks.

My wife has a friend who works there now, and when my wife and son went down for a free visit to the park, she was warned about the homosexual proportions that work there. Don't forget that the writer-director of "Powder" was a convicted child molestor, but in the interest of "fairness", they still let him work with children.

    That's a curious remark.

Does that mean you don't believe a liberal can be a capitalist or vice versa?

And remember, if you don't hate and fear homosexuals, you aren't a good Christian.

Disney isn't allowed to give a "gay" test to its potential employees to screen them out.

Walking around in a Mickey suit is not exactly acting or set design. I've lived in New York City more than half my life and I've been close to actors and gay people - the two are not synonymous. Truthfully, I don't know if gay people are more likely to take a job walking around in a giant, face-covering costume than straight people are or not. I do know that it is something no actor would ever put on his resume.

Bugs Bunny is my favorite gay character.

Nope, that does not mean I believe that that capitalism and liberalism are mutually exclusive, but neither are they identical.

Because the lies and distortions are about them.

The movie hasn't been shown yet except to reviewers some of whom have mentioned the problems and some of whom have glossed over them.

They're the ones accusing the Democrats of First Amendment violations.

Which they? The election probably has an awful lot to do with it.

I dont understand where the "gay test" thing came from. However in Orlando acting and set design are mostly inhabited by gay folks. Especially at disney.

I cannot fathom the logic that took you from my post regarding a question of liberalism in relation to Disney to your comments re capitalism. I assume Carpo had the same difficulty, resulting in:

Would you enlighten us as to the connection?
