How many of you have taken a church that you now know was not god's will? What helped you realize that you were serving out of God's will and what event or series of events delivered you back into his will?

I have found that most ministers often take their first Church more on gleeful impulse so excited that someone has called them that they jump at the opportunity and give praise to God even when God did not say go serve here. This may be why some 80 percent of all ministers do not last longer than 3 years at the first pastorate.

If its out of God's will the man never consulted God in the first place as you indicated.

Personally, no. I know of many pastors that felt like it was at times :) but maybe some serious prayer and time should be taken before pronouncing it isn't God's will, cuz at times he uses our blunders and goofs to His glory anyway.
