I'd like some thoughts on this.
Pretty please do NOT move this to the Versions forum! That place gets too nasty for my blood. This is both a version and theological question.

A while ago I looked looked up the seven Spirits in Revelation. Here is what I found. I have only found all seven in the KJV, and they are all dependent upon the capitalization. The word Spirit is not the same as the word spirit.

I'd like to get thoughts on it. For those that might happen to remember this post from a few years ago, it is missing all the discussion at the bottom. The file got corrupted. Sorry! But this was the heart of it, so it shouldn't change anything.

The seven Spirits of God: REV 4:5 (KJV) And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

There are seven different Spirits (cap Spirit) found in the bible. They each appear to have their own functions. I'll just make it easier and tell ya what I found. <IMG title=Smile alt="" border=0>

    1. Spirit of truth
    Joh 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

    Joh 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

    Joh 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

    2. Spirit of adoption
    Ro 8:15
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

    3. Spirit of promise
    Eph 1:13
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

    4. Spirit of life
    Ro 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
    Re 11:11
And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

5/6. Spirit of God/ Spirit of Christ
    Ro 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

    7. Spirit of grace
    Heb 10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
