Robert has attempted moral equivalence, as are you. There is none in this case. No double standard. Robert is "piling on" which is precisely why I responded to him as I did. Rush made a statement ABOUT (not TO) a woman who is now OBVIOUSLY more than what was represented concerning her on the day the whole world went crazy about one man's statements. He did not "pile on" nor did he actually misrepresent much of anything at all, nor did he use "vulgar" language in his description. We can find one of the words in virtually every Bible and the other is used commonly in everyday speech without upsetting many at all -- unless directed at them personally, that is.

Not really. I'm really pretty happy. It's just where I live, down in the south, I see far too often men (many of them who claim to be Christians) boss their wives around and lord it over them. Of course, that's what happens when we preach the salience of male headship.

Remember when our Secrtary of State called the group of women complaining, with merit, that her husband was at least a serial adulterer, and at worst a violent predator, "bimbos" ?

I agree 100%, and neither should be tolerated. That is the point. Left or right, we have a whole spectrum of leaders, not just political, but entertainers, commentaters, whatever the walk of life, that hover around the level trash. That says more about us than them. If they are poltical leaders, we elected them. If they are entertainers of some type, we keep their ratings up.

 

Why? What did they tell you?

And why are you bothering young girls anyway?
