These threads are all over the place. It is becoming impossible to moderate with any sanity. So, perhaps the Politics Forum should be closed until after the election and then we can all cry over the results. (I don't remember it being this bad in 2004 election....)Just a thought.

Unless we can all make a concerted effort to stay on topic (me included) instead of hurling one liners that hurl the thread off into other directions....

    Thoughts? (Please stay on topic)

I know that I have posted more since this but I do think it might be a GOOD thing for the group to close it. As I've said before (although NO ONE seemed to notice) I think it's cause a Dis Unity on the BB and it shows the "WORLD" that we are no better than them. That's my VOTE and I'm sticking to it!!! (I guess)

With the corrupt old media aiding Obama in hiding his true history and agenda, this forum is an invaluable source of information. Some of us are dedicated to getting the truth out. Others are dedicated to obfuscating the truth. Let the reader decide. Many more read it than participate.

One liners and off topic comments are always a problem, but I agree they are worse during the political season. During 2004 and today, I believe there are non-Christians that come here with the sole purpose to disrupt the free flow of information. If you are too agressive in closing off topic threads, you will aid them in accomplishing their goal.

They will be found out in due course.

    This will pass.

Why throw the baby out with the bathwater? Appoint more moderators. Crosswalk has a half dozen moderators per forum. It's in the budget :)

If the polictics forum closed, it would only boil over into other forums. At least this way it is contained.

That would be because we have the most liberal, person ever running for president, this as far as I know is the first presidential candate who believes in murdering children outside the womb, and with christians approving. That would be why.

    Good points, DonnA.

I posted this thread as a hypothetical. I do not have the authority to shut down any forum on the BB, that is up to Sir Webmaster. But I am looking for feedback and your thoughts. And I needed to vent about off topic posts.....:tonofbricks: So thanks for your opinions.... :)

I have no problem with leaving it open.

The problem is, as I see it, that the attacks, off topic posts, and diversions come from both directions. It is not one sided.

The Politics Forum was easily this bad in 2004.

Besides, we only have about 3 weeks more

donnA is 100% right. And as bad as Obama's "spread the wealth" agenda is, his infanticide is the only matter God really cares about. Every Christian should care about it just as much when he votes.

As horrendous as in womb murder is, this is a whole step further. It breaks down any semblance of sanctity of life.

Inside or outside, it's equally offensive, to me.

Disappointed in your implication Bro Curtis. My feelings about abortion are well known here.

Obama's horrendous stand opens a whole new door for the murder of the innocent. If they can now be allowed to die at birth how long will it be before then can be actively killed when a few days old?

I wasn't implying anything, Roger. I'm on your side, on this one, I think. The GOP won't end abortion, despite the desire of the people who will vote for them.

Snuffing out a life, is snuffing out a life. If abortion can be legal, why not infanticide ?

I'm disgusted by the whole industry. Sorry if you thought I was dissin' you, It was not my intent.

Thanks my brother - we do agree :)

This thread points out the difficulty of enforced the 'on topic' rule.

Is abortion a topic that can be discussed on any thread? Is it ever off topic?
