I don't see any rational point here.

And yet again, your lack of understanding of the written word prevents you from seeing the point.

    Which is my very point.

    Well, there you go again!

I can "betcha" under McCain/Palin we'd not have been called "arrogant, dismissive, and derisive." McCain refused to give into the Viet Nam POW leadership. This man loves America. All Obama loves about America is what he hopes to change her into.

McCain tried to warn America about Obama, no one listened, and now we are getting the kind of change that will make us "wimpy, wimpy, wimpy!!!":tear:

    No 'splaining to do.....

Your response was nothing more than the same old thing. To say that the R's are doing what the D's are doing, only slower, is the old slight of hand trick. There are still some significant differences between the parties, and like I said earlier, McCain would never grovel on the world stage. He didn't grovel in Viet Nam, and he would have stood strong and proud in Europe last week.

As for the debt, I can't say. But, your response was nothing new, and nothing earth shattering. It was simply the same old same old!

    OK, point taken!

I should have reworded this: "Basically, the only differences are:", because you are correct; there are other significant differences.

BUT I still maintain that either party is taking us down the same path, to the same destination, as per my original post!

IE: right now we're on a Harley with Throttle-Wide-Open with a "Hell's Angel" in the drivers seat, while the last administration had us cruising comfortably along in a limo with a nice grandfatherly type driving.

McCain standing proud in Vietnam was way before he was a politician. I believe he to be as liberal as they come, and doubt he would have said anything different.

McCain's cavalier attitude towards our constitutional guarantee of free speech is the latest in a series of events this year that raise questions as to his fitness for the presidency. With all he does, McCain has an air of self-righteous arrogance. Everything he proposes is about reform, and woe to the man or woman who stands in the way of reform. McCain will not let peons in the Senate or among the American people stand against him. In a crystallizing moment in 2000, McCain proclaimed that he was "Luke Skywalker trying to get out of the death star." He said everyone was out to get him, but that "We're going to kill them. We're going to win this election."

I thank McCain for his service to this country, but I don't think he would have stood as strong as you claim. Don't get me wrong, I think he would have been better than Obama, but just not as strong as you claim. Remember, McCain is a guy that is supposedly anti-abortion, yet tells us that he would allow his 16 year old daughter to make her own decision if she were to become pregnant. That is not standing strong for what you (supposedly) believe in.

I think it takes great strength to admit to your faults on the world stage. What probably hurts the most about what Obama said, it was true...
