The problem is that there isn't much substance there. For instance:
Dr. Vedder is a greedy professor himself. He is a Senior Fellow at the Independent Institute which is partially funded by Big Oil (link), an adjunct scholar at American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research, at neo-con think tank funded in part by Big Oil (link), and other conservative think tanks.

It is not at all clear which tuitions have gone up the "precise amount" that tuition tax credits have - have state, community & private institution tuitions all risen the same "precise" amount, including the free ones? That doesn't sound right - perhaps it's an average? Is it possible that the credits are linked to average tuition rather than the other way around? You can't tell from reading that article, but from reading his articles here and here I really doubt that he, an intelligent man, did write that.

Now that's just silly poofery - no substance, just slander and a veiled reference to a lecture which was not taught in a classroom but given independently.

Also, don't forget that lotteries that pay for college tuitions don't usually cover buildings, professors, etc., so taxes are raised to cover that as well.

    CORRECTIONS:
    1. The correct spelling is Natalee Holloway, according to foxnews.com.

    2. Ann Coulter went to Cornell, not Dartmouth (Laura Ingraham went to Dartmouth).

Let's see... Ann Coulter makes no bones about her philosophy or antagonism for liberalism. She openly interprets facts according to that bias with no pretenses.

But since you disagree with her, you say she has no credibility? Says more about your credibility than hers.

Yup. BiR isn't as picky about the garbage Al Franken regurgitates. Go figure. I guess I had him wrong.

Daisy, do you doubt, even for a second, that Ward Chruchill leaves his politics out of his curriculum ?

I have no particular opinion on it as I don't even know what his curriculum is. I do know that the lecture for which he was lambasted was not part of it or given at the university.

Perhaps you can tell me what his curriculum is, how exactly his politics has informed it and how that is different from a comparable professor of the conservative persuasion.

If he's gonna call the people who died at the WTC "little Eichmans" anywhere in public, I shudder to think of what he says behind closed doors.

BTW, I agree with you on Coulter. She has said lots of stuff that makes me cringe. But she earns her money, no subsidies there.

</font>[/QUOTE]Looks like "credibility" is in the eye of the beholder. Kind of like belly-buttons.

However, anyone who cannot see through Coulter's tactics and showmanship is, at best, not very discerning, and certainly not very bright.

One of the things I like about Daisy is no matter how much she disagrees with someone, she never calls them dumb. In fact, she's actually pretty nice.

    Ann Coulter

Why does she alway snarl? How would like to come home to that every night?

Wow! A whole website devoted to trashing this one man...

It's interesting that the genuinely leftist Ernesto Vigil seems to have it in for Churchill:
Nice phrasing...Apparently, Mr. Vigil has accused Mr. Churchill of academic malfeasance for substituting "Indians" instead of "Salvadoran peasants, villagers and civilians" (Mr. Churchill mocked the criticism, asking who else would they be? Norwegians? (link)) and also of saying Dennis Banks belonged to the Crusade for Justice (about which Mr. Vigil wrote a book) when he actually belonged to AIM.

So far, the minor charges against Mr. Churchill have been dismissed, but the major ones are still pending.

None of the charges seem to have anything to do with Mr. Churchill's conduct in the classroom. Seeing as how some right-wing groups are encouraging r-w students to record and inform on their professors, and Mr. Churchill is such a high profile case, this seems odd.

In another of the links, Ernesto Vigil, bringer of charges, is merely referred to as "concerned citizen"...

    One of the odder stories:
I still don't know all that much about the guy - these links take time to read & follow up on - but he does have a sense of humor. I can't help rooting for the underdog in this relentless vendetta of the right, but at the same time, I also find Ernesto Vigil sympathetic so far. This is a really interesting case.

More later, if this is still going on...

Why Scott: you're right. Despite showing her comments and quoting her directly, that does indeed say "more about [my] credibility." Thanks for that lucid moment.

Please show me where I mentioned Al Franken in this discussion. I checked and I cannot seem to find where I said anything about Mr. Franken.

But show me where Al Franken ever said the things Ann Coulter has said. For example, do either of you remember that to which Ann Coulter compared saying "Merry Christmas" in the article entitled "Ann Coulter 2005?" I do.......

    Regards anyway,
    BiR
