It kind of reminds me of McCain talking about the economy. One difference is that the democrats were talking in 2004 and McCain was talking in 2008.

It looks like both parties have gotten this wrong at one time or another.

 

What were the dems saying in 2004 ? Remember, they blocked 17 attempts by Bush to put oversight, there. Got a link ?

 

It is quite clear where the finger points. Dems are caught so red-handed that the only recourse is to try to share the blame with republicans. I think if McCain is elected president we will see some folks go to jail over this.

Also, in 2004 the republican's had control of both houses. It took more than the Dems to stop more regulation.

You are correct. I have never believe that the democratic party is pure and the republican party is evil. Basically, most politicians are greedy, power-hungry people who take themselves much too seriously and think they are smarter than the average person. That is until they need our votes, then they value our input and are concerned with our problems.

The Dems have protected fannie and freddie because they wanted to continue to see that uncredit worthy people gt loans they didnt deserve. So these people took variable rate loans with balloon payments in 5 years. And ratehr than do what they were supposed to do and get their credit straightened out before the balloon they failed to act and they could not afford the balloon payment. Now everyone wants to cry foul. just like a lib.
