This slanderous speculation is moot anyway. If you could prove Obama was born in Outer Slobovia he is still a US Citizen, since his mother was one, and met the legal requirements of the law in effect at the time.

You have to be born in this country to be president.

 

Actually you have to be a US citizen at birth which could include temporary residence outside of the country.

You know what, my birth certificate is hand written and contains no seals or stamps whatsoever. That's just the way Michigan did things in the early '60's.

I think I can top that! My original birth certificate has me listed as a male! I have to carry two birth certificates because the state of Ohio will not amend birth certificates even if the mistake was their fault. (at least that is the way it was then, have no idea about now) You wouldn't believe the looks you get when you have to provide your birth certificate as documentation for something. :laugh:

 

No you don't. My child, born in Ireland is a natural born citizen. If he spends 14 years in the US before the time he could run for and be elected president.

(BTW, the question is yet open as to whether or not any member of Congress is a "'civil officer' of the United States", hence subject to impeachment, in the first place. Secondly, "impeachment" does not remove anyone from any office, only conviction of the impeachable offense. Both Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached; neither was convicted by the Senate, hence removed from office.)

Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings was impeached, then convicted and removed from office as a federal judge, in 1989. He was subsequently elected to Congress in 1992 (illegally under the Constitution, IMO), been re-elected 7 more times, and has been there in that office for more than 15 years.
