Dear Abby gives her thoughts (its the second letter)
Do you agree with Abby?
Just my opinion.....
.....She disrespected her mother in life by cutting off all communications and by not allowing her to see her own grandchildren because she was angry with the father.
She had the right to attend her father's funeral, but she should have come alone and sat in the back.
By bringing her entire posse of people, she was not there to honor her deceased father or living mother. She was there, at best, from a purely selfish motive and at worst, to spit on the memory of the father.
I feel sorry for the mother.
There's not enough info...it's one side of matters.
Perhaps the girl thought that by bringing everyone, she could make peace with others. They could see the grandkids, etc.. I'd imagine the death of someone could make a person do something like that.
Funerals aren't a time to ask family to stay away.
