    There was a big fuss over there being threads in the debate forums that no one debated, only seems right that there shouldn't be non poll threads in the polls forum.

    No. The Poll Forum is for just polls. If I see a poll in another forum, I always move it here.

    While I realize that people sometimes go off on a rabbit trail during a conversation because of someone mentioning something that causes them to think of something else, I don't think that anyone should post anything in the wrong forum.

    I've seen people post something in the Introduction forum that was not an introduction, and they weren't a new member.

    To me, it doesn't matter. If I see a poll in a debate area, I'll vote in it. If I see a non-poll thread that intrests me, then I'll leave a response. I would say that if the poll created is related to the subject of politics, current events, history, or any others that it should be permitted in those repective areas.
