All you did was pull Scriptures out of context and it's already been refuted.

Of course there is when your argument is refuted.

Resonsibility for the health and wellbeing of those whom God has given to you to be the protector isn't ownership.

For you to SUGGEST that shows your lack in knowing why you even have a wife and children

I haven't said they are like you are attemtping to say, they are not like groceries or material posessions.

Why would any serious person try what you are?

Well, until you come down from your high-horse I cannot help you.

Oh, so giving a woman honor and seeing her as the lady God wants her to be is caveman theology?

My being a man I'm glad God made me as I am.

But if God did make me a woman from birth, I could be just as thankful and if I had a husband like me I'd have more to thank Him for.

    You'd lose that bet.

I conclude that everyone of you saying what you have against what I said would hold your wife and kids in front of you if a burglar broke into your house tonight so you wouldn't get hurted.

"Goods" as I used the quotation marks isn't saying I own them, it was to show my responsibility towards them.

Where's that guy with all the apes?

JFTR, our church has many ladies who serve in various positions and duties of the church. Our pastor's wife is referred to as our "first lady", not our bus mechanic.

She is president of the ladies fellowship, the pastor's secretary, (good thing, the last pastor ran off with his, and she wasn't even his wife who was the painist!), she teaches Sunday School, is over our food closet outreach ministry, etc.

My wife is over our clothes closet and prayer card ministry. It is her duty to the Lord to show the younger women how to posess their vessels in sanctity and being chaste. She actively does so in the ministry we both do together, yet she holds to the bible way of submitting to the leadership, not OWNERSHIP!:tongue3:

Most churches wouldn't last a week without the women's labor.

Girls require time and money. Girls = Time × Money
Time is money. Time = Money
    Therefore: Girls = Money × Money = (Money)2
Money is the root of all evil Money = √Evil
    Therefore: Girls = (√Evil)2
And we are forced to conclude that: Girls = Evil

Paul, you are the one who gave the impression that your wife was baggage, so you can ease off the threat and insults of my character. In fact, I was honoring your wife by admonishing your attitude toward her as being mere baggage.

I don't own my wife anymore than I own myself. The scripture says that I am to treat my wife "as unto" the weaker vessel. It doesn't say she is weak. Rather, I am to treat her with the honor and love that she is due. She is the finest and most valuable aspect of my life (apart from my relationship with Christ) and I am to treat her as such.

No where in the Bible does it say that a woman is incapable of leadership even in the church. She's not allowed to be a pastor or a deacon because that's the way God wants it. But, to twist God's Word and make women into helpless little pieces of baggage who need a man's protection is nothing short of adding to God's word. My wife doesn't need my protection as much as she needs me to love her, to honor her, and to be the spiritual leader in the home in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
