Hmm. They might form a committee to decide whether or not you should stay.

This is the best thread of the day! Even if I don't have a blue sweater, or if Tim wears a pink one.

Wearing of blue clothing of any type is strictly forbidden in Scripture.

    1. Ex 25:4 only allows blue in thread used for an offering.
    2. Ex 28:33 only allows blue on pomegrannates for the hem of a priestly robe.
    3. Ex 36:37 allows for blue thread for the screen of the tabernacle.
    4. Nu 4:7 says use a blue cloth for the table of showbread.
    5. Nu 15:38 allows for blue thread on the tassels of priestly garments.
    6. 2 Chr 3:14 allows for blue in the veil of the temple.
    7. Est 8:15 allows for blue on the appreal of royality.
    8. And finally, blue is reserved for the horsemen of the sixth trumpet on their breastplates
    in Rev 9:17.

With all of the references above, it is quite shocking that a thread like this would even be started. It is quite obvious that the SBC needs to ratify an amendment at their next meeting to forbid the wearning of blue clothing. No doubt several committees will have to be formed and the issue discussed over a series of pot lucks.

According to the hebrew the word translated Blue is actually violet, this fact is also supported by Clarke. Therefore you are worshiping witha color not authorized by scripture and need to correct and come under submission to the true teachings.

Personally, I think that Sacajawea has the definitive insights into blue vs. violet.

(thegospelgeek - I read Clarke alot, too, but he always makes my head spin.)

What the Hebrew word means is of no significance. The word violet is not in the Bible so that can't be true.

It says the Proverbs 31 woman hand made all of her family's clothes and they were red and purple.

Well I just have to say, I went out counting heads today in a khaki skirt and thought I would die before I could get back home to my BLUE jeans! Way to hot today to be dealing with a skirt! Thank the Lord for denim and air conditioning!! This evening I'm gonna be a rebel and wear my denim capris.

If anyone has ever noticed, most anything with the word blue is evil, either directly or indirectly. For example, the song "Red Roses for a Blue Lady" has indirect ties to Satanic influences. If you reverse the words Red Roses, and drop the s from Roses, you have Rose Red, a novel and movie by Stephen King with evil spirits as the stars.

I'm all for it. Our first church should have blue carpet, and no frog belly pastors.

    Should Women wear blue sweaters??

Yes, it's OK except in Ireland. There a woman should wear green or orange sweaters only to minimize confusion.

Confusion is of the devil and should not be tolerated in the church. The wearing of sweaters has no bearing on the matter.
