This fantastic young mandolin player has her debut album coming out in May. In this video she plays "Salt Creek" with a great young banjo player named Ryan Holladay.

    Enjoy!

Sierra is an amazing talent. She was pretty much a child prodigy.

She was playing with people like Alison Krauss and Sam Bush when she was something ridiculous like 11 years old, and sounding like she BELONGED with musicians of that stature.

    And its not just mandolin.

    Here she is playing guitar....

(I've been playing guitar for 29 years and I WISH I could play this well  )

Yes. I first saw her when she played with AKUS on the Grand Ole Opry a few years ago on "Cluck Old Hen" and "Every Time You Say Good-Bye". I have been keeping up with her budding career since then.

Yes, indeed. The only difference on the Saturday night Grand Ole Opry show that was televised on GAC or CMT(whichever one it was) was that Jerry Douglas played his solo ahead of Sierra's.
