PN, you need to get over that thought that some things are for Jews and some for just Gentiles.

Gal 3-28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

The things we are discussing now are for believers, not races of people. And believers can be any race or color etc.

I just gave you scripture that tells you we will not know when WE will be caught up, only the Father knows.

But you sidestep it and declare it invalid, just because you want to be right!!

    Peace,

    Tam

Where in God's Word are we not to know the timing of the Rature?

We are to live in continuous expectation of his return, but this does not deny us knowing. Often skeptics use Mt. 25:13 as evidence we are not to know. Jews who do not know who their Messiah is are exhorted to "keep watch" during the Tribulation or when the things of Mt. 24 are being fulfilled. No one can know the day or the hour, but if the Jews are watchful of the signs occurring during that time they will have sufficient oil in their lamps for when their Messiah arrives. Those who are watching and prepared for His return are the wise virgins who will enter His earthly kingdom.

Again, where does it state we are not to know?

No chance Tam, Gal. 3:28 is the Church comprised of mostly Gentiles and a remnant of Jews.

The context of Mt. 24 is all Jewish and does not concern the Church. No live saints are caught up at the Second Coming.

Keep the Church separate from Israel.

</font>[/QUOTE]Because... the Word of God say that only "one" know the time and the hour....your not him.

    Matt. 24:36 -
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Yes we should be watching and waiting, but also like the 10 virgins they still didn't know when he was comming, but they knew the bride groom was on his way.

Do not add to the Scriptures . There's no "month" or "year" above.

The Church is never told to watch for the Rapture or the Second Coming. Only Jews who don't know who their Messiah is are told to watch.

I Acts 1-7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

You may be wasting your time
Brother Ed, nobody seems to be listening
either for the purpose of agreement or
    disagreements.

ProphecyNut: //Rev. 9:15 states" "And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind." Would you subtract the "month" and "year" from this passage?//

In this context "month" means "the appropriate
time". In this context "year" means "the
appropriate time". As i said before,
"hour" = "day" = "the appropriate time.
How about that, four "the appropriate times
in the same sentence. God must really want
you to know that these angels who will kill
a third of mankind will be released ... guess when ...
    .
    .
    .
it gets to be ... are you ready?
    .
    .
    .
    [IMG] THE APPROPRIATE TIME.

ProphecyNut: //Mt. 24:36 states: "No one know abut that day of hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the Father." If you would not subtract from Rev. 9:15, why to you add the "month" and "year" to this passage?//

Does saying the same thing twice in a row
make it less than four times in a row?

At the time Jesus was talking to his disciples about the kingdom the Church did not exist, if it isn't in the context don't apply the conditions to it. Again I say, keep Israel separate from the Church.

The " you " is a direct reference to the disciples and no one else, the kingdom concerns Israel and not the church.

Jesus coming "back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven" (V.11) does not concern the Church, it applies to the Second Coming when His feet will touch the Mount of Olives (Zec. 14:4)

    "THE APPROPRIATE TIME"

NIV Study Bible: "Apocalyptic thought views God as acting according to an exact timetable."

Bible Knowledge Commmentary: "The release of these four is minutely timed at a particular hour and day and month and year."

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, John Walvoord: "The expression 'an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year' designates not the duration of their activity but the fact that this judgment comes exactly at the hour of God's appointment."

The Book of Revelation, Larkin: "The four angels were waiting for the EXACT year, month, day, and even hour, known only to God, on which to make the invasion."

Revelation Expounded, Jennings Dake: "This refers to a fixed point of time, not a period or length of duration."

Actually it says that we do not now know that day and hour - but when we see the Rev 19 event "We will know it".

When we see hear the loud trumpet of 1Thess 4 "we will know it".

When we see the events of Matt 24 "And all the tribes of the earth mourn" we will know it.

    In Christ,

    Bob

Actually we Saved Persons will know it seven years
    earlier at the pretribulation rapture/resurrection.
BTW, being a Saved Person, were i there when the
Event of Matthew 24:29-30 takes place, i would
not be mourning. This is one of the verses that
show a distinct diffrence between when Jesus
comes to get His own (at the pretribulation
rapture/resurrection) and when Jesus comes in power
and glory (to defeat the antichrist and set up the
    physical Millinnial Kingdom of Christ.)

    Ah please!
When Jesus comes again it's for final over and done with sin, and sinners, either saved or lost.
You mix up Scriptures - Mt.24 and Rv, Jesus second coming and His first through the Holy Spirit, His eternal reign upon the earth after his coming with His temporary reign before his second coming. Believed ordinary believers of all ages. Now you want to come and spoil their good trust in Christ and his word of promise.
