You might be a conservative if…
1: You’re irate over the president taking so many vacation days on the taxpayer’s dime (61 thus far), but you thought George W. Bush earned every minute of his leisure time (196 days at the same point in his presidency).
2: You’re happy with your 40 hour work week, paid vacations and company-provided healthcare, but you’re strongly anti-union, because those commies haven’t done anything for you lately.
3: You strongly support the First Amendment and it’s guarantee of religious freedom to all, but you don’t think Muslims have a right to build an Islamic Community Center in Manhattan.
4: You believe Ronald Reagan was a devout Christian, even though he hated going to church, but any president who spends twenty years going to the same Trinity United Church in Chicago must be a Muslim.
5: You believe when a Republican governor creates a healthcare package with an individual mandate for everyone in his state, that’s a good idea. But when a Democratic president does it, suddenly it’s unconstitutional.
6: You’re so enthused about demonstrating your Second Amendment rights, you can think of no finer place to brandish your pistol in public than at a presidential rally.
7: You believe Bill Clinton was responsible for Osama bin Laden’s escape ten years ago, but thankfully George W. Bush caught up with him and killed him in Pakistan.
8: You believe in putting American jobs first, except when president Obama rescued 1.5 million GM and Chrysler autoworkers, because that was socialism.
9: It angers you that you can’t communicate with the Mexican busboy at your local Olive Garden, but when you took a vacation to San Francisco’s Chinatown, you thought it’s quaint that so many Chinese-Americans are holding fast to their traditional language. Because*that’s*America!
10: You deny that the lunatic who tried to murder Gaby Giffords was a conservative, even though he targeted a Jewish, pro-choice, pro gay rights,*Democratic*Congresswoman.
11: You thought it was perfectly normal that every president in history had an untethered right to raise the debt ceiling when warranted, but when Obama asked the GOP held congress to do it, you thought it only natural that it be tied to cutting Social Security and Medicare.

I sure hope your other 9,399 posts weren't as pathetic as this one.

Using this criteria, I'm not a conservative. I thought Bush spent too much time in Texas.

Unions have certainly done plenty for the country of late. They've driven GM, Chrysler, and other to near bankruptcy with the bloated pensions and health care packages they've extracted from management over the years. I guess I'm a conservative.

Using this criteria, I'm not a conservative, as I go along with local rule and jurisdiction along with the First Amendment. The New York borough in question approved the mosque (yes, it is a mosque, not only a community center) by a near unanimous vote.

Ronald Reagan's stated reason for not attending church was because he didn't want to create a security circus every Sunday morning. Obama has stated he is a Christian. Who am I to judge either man? I guess I'm a conservative.

I think it has something to do with states rights as opposed to a universal, national mandate. If I lived in Massachusetts and I didn't like the universal mandate I could move to another state. Can't do that with a national health care mandate. I guess I'm a conservative.

If I have a permit to carry and guns are allowed there what's the big deal? I guess I'm a conservative.

May I play this silly game? If you're a liberal, you believe that Obama shredded every intelligence document generated by the Bush administration regarding tracking Osama bin Laden and he started over from scratch.

As far as I know most, if not all, of the shares of GM and Chrysler the government bought have been resold to private interests, so I'd say if it was socialism, it's been reversed. I guess I'm a conservative.

    Doesn't deserve a response.

I believe that lunatics don't have the brainpower to formulate a political stance.

Cutting Social Security and Medicare were Obama's initiative in the debt ceiling debacle. And I guess I'm a conservative because I believe everything should be on the table when discussing spending cuts.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think Eisenhower did too much golfing, Ford did too much skiing, and no managing general partner of a major league baseball team should be president.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think you 8-hour flex-time day with weekends off, healthcare plan paid, and 401K matched is a "bribe" by your fascist-run company.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think Rick Perry hosting a prayer conference and inviting other state governors is unconstitutional, but Obama attending the National Conference of the United Churches of Christ and talking about his candidacy is perfectly legal.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think it's Christian, per se, to shout "God $%*# America!" and our president for 20 years attended an assembly that proclaimed such.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think the right to religious freedom extends to a native American cop in Texas who didn't want to cut his hair, but people should be vaccinated against their will, denying them freedom of religion.

And you might be a liberal if...
You're so enthused about demonstrating your First Amendment rights you can think of no finer place to surround and threaten and attempt to evade security boundaries than the Pentagon.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think George W. Bush was responsible for Osama Bin Laden's escape ten years ago, by finishing off a tyrant who used poison gas on his nonsupporters and a substantial minority group, but thankfully Barack Obama caught up with Osama and took him, dead or alive, in Pakistan.

And you might be a liberal if...
You believe in putting American jobs first, except when that involves off-shore or Alaska wilderness oil drilling.

And you might be a liberal if...
You can't communicate with someone you once loved, so you just pull the plug on their life support and love someone else.

And you might be a liberal if...
You think Hanoi Jane should still be alive after her recorded voice was being played to my Congressman and others while they were held in 4ft x 4ft. bamboo cages, telling them they deserved their fate.

And you might be a liberal if...
You thought it was perfectly normal that every president in history had an untethered right to raise the debt ceiling when warranted, but if a president also wants to raise defense spending, a cap or reduction should be placed on it, while SS and Medicare must always be off-limits.

Looks like you've stirred up a hornet's nest. You do know that many conservatives think everything bad that ever happened is because of some "liberal" politician somewhere, and if it hadn't been for Ronald Reagan we would all be in chains somewhere in a Russian prison.

Keep up the good work! :wavey:

Seems some conservatives on the board have no sense of humor ... oh that's right, they reserve the right to post similar types of entries about liberals but become incensed when it goes other way. Got to love them ............

On Reagan being a great Christian they also overlook the fact that Nancy kept an astrologer in the White House to give advice on auspicious days to make decisions.

There is enough truth in the list to really irritate some people who do not want to know.

Yes, and if Bush gets re-elected, civil liberties will be destroyed, we will be in chains, and numerous celebrities will have fled to Canada.

Oh wait, that part after re-elected didn't happen.

Only in as much that as a Christian I am offended by the sin of theft of intellectual property.

And on a Christian board no less.

    Plagiarism doesn't bother you?

Looks to me like you spammed & flamed in the same post. No intent of debate. Kind of cowardly. Cheered on by other cowards.

Maybe "we" is referring to the unattributed author of this revisionist fairytale.

Targus can't help himself. Your list is evidently like a mirror, and he doesn't like what he is seeing, I guess.
