    I found a cool website where you submit a long URL by dragging it across to the box provided. The site then snips your URL and gives you a mini URL which you can use to post to!

    tinyurl can do the same with the simple click of a button it add to your tool bar if you desire.

    Great tools - I highly recommend them

    I have heard of these. good idea but I haven't ever really needed to use one.

    There are a couple extensions for firefox that have this functionality. Its amazing what a browser by the people and for the people can do.

    They are nice tools when posting links in a forum. If they are too long they mess up the onscreen display.
