    Being an old Navy man [not in service but in age] I think they should recommission all four of the New jersey class Battleships. I saw three of them in Norfolk at one time, a really impressive sight. Also saw one in drydock, most of the ship is below water.

    I realize this is off topic but just had to get that thought in.

    I'll bet we'd take that old ship over here, care for it, and show it off in memory of all those sailors who served upon it.

    We have a memorial to the USS Indianapolis here and the men who served on her are honored. Some of them are still alive and I imagine when they go in a restaurant in Indy a dozen guys pick up the tab for them.
