No, I believe He has done all the work so man can believe.

    -Given us His word.
-Given Us the HS to convict those lost and indwell those who are saved.
-He has given man a concouis that knows good and evil.
-He has made nature that cries out His glories.
-He has sent His son as a sacrafice for sin.

No if man was put in a cornor would he repent, no I don't blieve so. However God has made it so man can believe.

God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe would not perish but have everlasting life.

Is that so hard to accept. [IMG]

Of course not. Who among us denies John 3:16?

But only those that I allow to believe will be saved.

    You're the one who chooses?

I take back anything I may have ever said about you, even if I was only joking.

The above is relevant because another poster just dealt with this work in another thread.

This thread breaks my heart. Brother Bob, who helped baptized me, passed away 3/9/2017.

"I must insist that the proper order of things is that discovering and discerning the character of Old Testament theology and New Testament theology on its own merits must be seen as a necessarily prior enterprise to the constructing of a biblical theology, not least because we have all seen what happens when the Bible is read through the grid of later Calvinist or Arminian or Lutheran or Orthodox or Catholic systematic theology: the biblical text is read anachronistically and is gerrymandered for various later theological purposes and battles of which the biblical writers were innocent and ignorant. In short, distortion of the meaning of biblical texts happens over and over again as the attempt is made to make them fit a preexisting theological schema." - New Testament Theology and Ethics - Ben Witherington III
