Featured Some Places Where NIV Is More Literal...

    Some places where the NASBU is not so literal. Snips follow.

    Amos 6:10:"Then one's uncle,or his undertaker..."

    Now that is funny. The above is very dynamic and anachronistically humorous.

    Haggai 2:16: "...from that time when one came to a grain heap of twenty measures..."

    "From that time" is literally "from their being" according to NET Notes.And literally it should be "when he came to a heap of twenty."

    Don't get me wrong. I think the renderings above are fine;just not literal.
