Someone sure is keeping the "new posts" page short! There are several threads in which I am participating the forum of which I cannot always remember. Someone is sucking the enjoyment right out of my life by shortening this page!

I don't know the nuts and bolts (actually I know several nuts in this forum) of this operation, but IMO, it is about right to maintain 2-3 pages of recent posts. Does this page automatically shorten if so much time passes? Or is a faithful, loveable administrator being busy about his or her duty?

Or is some sorry non-baptist sabotaging this forum? "Dum-de-dump-dum"

you need to stay away longer and give more folks longer to reply ;)

Actually, I notice this from time to time too -- and it's not you or me. Instead, go to the Quick Links tab and check on Today's Posts instead - that will give you posts from the last 24 hours.

The other thing you can do is click on the User CP tab. You are automatically subscribed to any thread you participate in, but you can subscribe to threads you just want to keep up with. That's not on the reply screen, so I can't tell you exactly where it is now, but it's not hard to find - I found it afterall . . . :D

Now that I can see it, you subscribe under thread tools.

    I've noticed this too.

I generally click on "New Posts" whenever I get on the BB, and the only time in past log-ins that I've had so few posts, was when I may re-enter after only a couple of hours off site.

Normal for my first log in would be anywhere from 50-120 posts.

Last few times I had as few as 8, with the max about 15, and this was after several hours of absence.

So something IS different; unless it was just a coincidental drop in traffic.

The way this board has changed over the last year, I would guess that the traffic has fallen off.

This people on this board have gotten uglier in their posts. There have been a good number of bannings this year because of topics and people attitudes. So I would guess that traffic has fallen off..

    Totally agree!!!!

I left awhile back for some 6-8 months & figured I was "timed out", but when I came back all info was still current so I got back on.

I sometimes wonder if that was a mistake.

It's a real shame that thoughts, ideas, beliefs etc cannot be discussed with adults AS adults w/o all the snippyness bleeding thru. A few posters, though, seem incapable of arguing the issues and prefer to get personal rather than admit that they have been proven wrong, OR not been able to prove their point conclusively.

I frequent another BB that is secular, and it is by far more civilized with even very hot issues than many of the ones on this BB.

I personally believe that there are some who would not fool with this BB except for its name - trouble makers, if you will!!
